I have a few Longaberger baskets in storage. I know they are not the thing to have and dsplay. However, I just can't throw them out. Anyone think the trend will ever return?

I doubt they'll ever return on the level they were years ago. I have a bunch of them and Peterboro baskets as well. I don't have them for display, I use them throughout my home.

I have Longaberger and Peterboro baskets. I use them both for display and for storage. I have some in every room. They suit my style of decorating.

Oh how I remember buying those baskets and even going to Zanesville Ohio for a basket themed tour and dinner with the Longabergers. LOL I know I am now secretly ashamed of myself for how much money I invested in that "home party" craze in the 90's but Oh well....was for relatives and friends. I have sold quite a few of my basket stash and the others and signed ones I use to display towells etc. I do not think they will ever come back big as they once were given the grand price in this economy and the possible very hard times ahead. I have went from 50 down to 5 of them. I see many on E-Bay now selling them to recoup some of the money. That whole "home party" (Longaberger, Party Lite candles, Pampered Chef) doesnt attract the masses anymore.

That's what I'd do with them, put them to work. They're still pretty and add to the homey, cozy factor.

Love Roses, my mom had some, and I use them as sewing baskets. Yarns could look pretty in them. I now want to use the things that maybe others might just look at. I want usefulness as well as pretty.

Slightly O/T: I heard the other day that Longaberger has been trying for quite some time now to sell their "basket" building. No takers. The down-side of building something so specific.

I also got swirled up In that 90's trend . Buying from my gf's parties.😡 Lol. Even though the trend is gone , they are still durable, handy baskets. Just put them to good use for storage around the house.🙂

I still use them too, My kleenex box is still hidden in one in the guest bathroom, I still have one under an end table in the living room to hold all the stuff that seems to accumulate where we sit to watch Tv - like controllers and glasses and kleenex, books and my sewing. Keep all that clutter hidden under the lid. When my housekeeper finds things like a pen or a button - small things - in the living room, and she doesn't know what to do with it she puts it in that basket.

I bought some scrap skeins of vegetable dyed yarn from a craft center in Northern NM in all different shades of rose, pink and burgundy. My mother and I rolled them into balls. I display them on my coffee table in a hand carved bread bowl. Had to put them away when I got a puppy; he thought they were toys for him.

My dd was a rep when she first got out of college! She got the whole kit and then she added on lots of great stuff! Plus, I tried to buy from her to help her out. Now, I have all the great items but never did display any! I do use them as often as I can! They are beautiful and useful!
