I love sheets. I don't like solids. Prints are my perference. I like florals. Well I hadn't bought sheets in awhile as I had a nice selection but I thought it was time for a change. Well I went on line and there are hardly any prints to choose from. I did find a set of Laura Asley sheets at Kohl;s and a couple of other ones. What's your choice ?

I like solid or paisley prints.

I don't like dark colors or anything too feminine looking.

I prefer solids.

My favorite sheets are the Target Vintage. Love the fitted sheet, 2 rows of elastic.

I like a tone-on-tone stripe. That way I can get the fitted sheet on right the first time.

My favorites are 800tc Egyptian Cotton. They are nicely weighted and very cool. I generate a lot of heat, so I need something that is all-cotton and cools quickly.

I've been pretty happy with the organic cotton percale sheets from Pottery Barn, but there are no floral print choices.

I think about sheets a lot!

Growing up, we had mostly floral sheets (60's and 70's) and none of them did I find particularly pretty (well, maybe just one or two over the years).

When I got my own place in the 80's and 90's there were such beautiful florals (think Laura Ashley fussy and feminine, ruffled edges, lace trimmed etc.) and such good quality that they lasted for a decade or more if you rotated them. I still miss the availability of those styles still today.

Now I go only solid, as I find the prints so horribly ugly. I haven't seen a floral sheet in a very long time that I'd own. I now have printed quilts on the beds, so coordinating solids are really the best look for sheets in my bedrooms now anyway.

In general, the quality of sheets has gone down hill terribly in my lifetime. A few years ago I found some really great sheets at Sam's Club and bought five sets. Was looking there the other day and that brand is gone. Wish now I had picked up several more.

I prefer solids, but that is because I was both scared & scarred by floras as a child. My mother loved floral prints – the more the merrier! My room had wall-to-wall wallpaper of tiny red rose buds with green leaves. I had a floral chintz chair, and my sheets were all floral…tiny red rosebuds with greenery. I went through a sickly period as a kid – tended to run high fevers, so I spent a lot of time in that room & that bed. When my fever was high those flowers came to life and it felt like they were strangling me & smothering me. Those flowers were everywhere! They held my head (pillowcases) covered my body and surrounded me from every direction. Needless to say, when the time came for me to buy my own things, it made me appreciate the calm of solids…and I tend to stick to boring plain white sheets. I hope you enjoy your florals as much as I enjoy my plain white sheets.

100% Egyptian Cotton on clearance. I won't pay full price.

Usually I find solid neutrals in high thread count.

I love my 1000 thread count cotten sheets in the summer! Winters are for my new favorite, Malden Mills Polar Fleece sheets! Hope there will be an upcoming TSV!

We did a bedroom makeover last month which included a new bed. I knew I didn't want anything with microfiber. I ended up purchasing a set of Northern Nights Hotel Sheets here on QVC to get started. They're 100% cotton and soft, but on the crisp side and they do wrinkle. The wrinkling doesn't really bother DH or I since it's just us who have to see it. We feel very comfortable in them and I'll likely purchase another set or two. I prefer 100% cotton (no blends) and I like a lower thread count (no more than 500 TC) for breathability. I made the mistake of buying microfiber sheets before, for our old bed (now in the guest room). They wrinkle a lot less, but they kept me too warm. When I see a good sale on cotton sheets, I intend to replace them. Maybe I'll have to check out the sheets at Target.

I like floral prints, but tend to lean toward solids these days.

I just totally contradicted myself and ordered a pair of Simply Shabby Chic floral sheets from Target online. They're 100% cotton percale, low thread count. Kings are usually $61.99, but are $43.39 (30% off) right now and shipping is free. Plus I went through Ebates for a 2% reward.

I LOVE this description. when I was about 5, my mom and dad took me to a really neat wallpaper store so I could pick out wallpaper fo MY room.

I chose a very femiinine paper of stagecoaches, cowboys, good guys, bad guys- and my parents immediately vetoed and overrode my choice, opting instead for bouquets of red and pink roses in a lacy doily. And DANCE they did, every time I spiked a high temp.

My "scar" was apparently slight, because I do use some patterned linens and get along IMG_4865.JPGith them NOW OK!

@violann Thanks for your nice comments. I am so sorry you had the floral experience as a child, too! I am glad it didn’t leave you as warped as I am. Funny how some simple little decision like wallpaper or sheets can have an impact that stays with you forever.

I like solid color sheets and comforter/bedspreads. I currently have a comforter that is 1/3 beige, 1/3 dark brown and 1/3 turquoise. with ivory sheets.That is about as much print as I like.

My DH and I don't often disagree, but he likes cool, crisp sheets and I like soft, warm ones. I've decided he can win the argument except in the three coldest months each year when polar fleece goes on our bed. My question is what fabric should I be looking for to get that crisp feel? The sheets he loves are so old that I can't even read the label.

HSN has some really nice floral sheets!!!!! They have a set of solid sheets with lace trim that I've put in my favorites folder. They're on sale, but the price isn't low enough yet. It likely won't ever get low enough because I don't need more sheets.

I learned the value of thread count about 15 years ago when I got some floral sheets from Walmart. They lasted only a few months before they started coming apart! I have 600 TC sheets from HSN that I've had for years that almost feel like a very light canvas. They are thick and durable, but not particularly appealing. I'm glad I got them because they will last a very long time.

Those lace sheets are pretty. I also like the swiss dot ones and the Jeffrey Banks seahorse sheets! But alas, I don't need more sheets though I love looking at them and all the different kinds.

I have searched a lot to find just the right ones and realized I like to feel them in person.

Some I ordered from QVC that were reversable solids were a good fit and pretty colors but never felt soft enough no matter how many times I washed them.
