Just watched Jill fold a fitted sheet. Although it does make for a neat package for the linen closet - I don't have that kind of patience. For bed linen I'll be using in a week, I want something quicker. So - Out of the dyer I shake the fresh linen and then roll it like a hand muff. For extra sheets I'll need for future guest - I do fold although my bottom fitted sheet isn't as neat as Jill's. What's your style?

I saw that version of Jill's and it is very nice, mine is a bit sloppier, but looks neat in my linen closet. I like a nice neat looking linen closet.....My sister's linen closet is so neat, she said when they moved into their new home, it took her over 3 hours to make sure everything was just perfect. Mine doesn't have to be perfect, but does need to be neat!

I put one corner into its adjacent corner then repeat, lay the sheet flat on a clean rug, then fold in the elastic side, creating a rectangle, which I then fold into the same shape as the folded top sheet.

Really no big deal, and very quick.

I have to see how Jill does hers!

I did not see Jills presentation but my sheets are folded pretty neatly with the pillowcaces inside the folded 'package'....In the past sheets were much easier to fold because the fabric was heavier and nicer in my opinion...the thinner sheets today are much harder to fold neatly.

Years ago (before YouTube) I had a video for that. I've long lost that, but a year or two ago I tried this again and I just can't seem to make it happen.

It's frustrating. So - I just keep using the same set over and over, keeping my other sets in the original square-ish packaging until I'm ready to use different ones. *sigh*

Or - well, ok, I have been known to just cram the ball-o-sheet into the drawer. hehe

I never thought it was all that difficult to fold a fitted sheet. To me, the concept of folding the sheet in half and tucking corners, then folding and tucking again, is the foundation of getting a neat end result. I will say, however, that it's much easier with a smaller sheet than with a larger.
