persil laundry detergent

just wondering if anyone has tried percil laundry detergent in free and clear? keep seeing comercial and wondering if it works as well as they say it does. we corrently use all free n clear.

Buy my detergent at the Dollar Tree. My clothes are clean, stain free (some stains do not come out no matter what you do ) and smell good.

What is it "free and clear" from. Akward sentence sorry!!!

Purex makes a "free and clear" detergent and it's fragrance and dye free. I've never seen Persil make a "free and clear"...? Could it be another name like Proclean by Persil?

I'm currently using Persil because I read rave reviews for its cleaning ability; mainly Persil Pro Clean 2 n 1.

I have used all the formulas and the above is superior cleaning.

Persil Free & Clear is also excellent in cleaning, IMO.

The only thing I don't like about Persil is that I have to use 2 rinse cycles to get all the soap out. We have a water softener and don't know if that's the problem. I only use about 1 tablespoon of detergent and there are suds everywhere.

Other brands I don't have this problem. I'm going to stop using Persil only because of this. Persil is fantastic in getting clothing clean.

Persil is made in Germany. Think I'll pass on trying it. Rather use stuff made in the USA.

I have not seen Persil in the stores that I shop in so, I have never used it ...... I have been using Tide for many years & I love it .... I am sticking with Tide!!! 😄

Forget free and clear get the original if you can stand scent. It smells great. I think I am addicted to it now.

Persil is the #1 detergent in Germany, rather like our Tide. It comes dry form in bags there (no big boxes or jugs--recycling is a big issue.)

Apparently it is licensed to be made here in the US. And reported not to be quite the same.

I use the Free & Clear which is not exactly free and clear. It has scent but it's reputed to be non-allergenic or at least low allergenic I have no issues with it, but I'm allergic to scents such as Tide and Gain.

The company that owns this brand is a German company (they acquired Dial several yrs ago) but they also employ people in the US. From a press release:

"The Scottsdale facility, which employs 400 people, also has legal, human resources, sales, administration, supply-chain management and other job functions.The company employs about 6,000 people in North America, which includes Canada and Puerto Rico. The region generates just under one-fifth of Henkel's global sales, which came to nearly $18 billion last year. Henkel counts about 50,000 workers overall."

The problem with writing off companies that have foreign ownership is that a lot of them still employ significant numbers of people in the US. I agee 400 in Arizona isn't a lot, but more than 10% of their workforce is in North America which for me is a plus.

I've never used it but I think it's rated high. I know a few people who use it and are happy. It's much cheaper than Tide. I'm still upset that they stopped making Tide Total. It was a superior product and there is no replacement I don't care what they say (they suggest Coldwater Tide, NOT). My clothes never faded and darks never got that weird, almost linty film. I'm still looking. Woolite doesn't seem to be like it once was either, ugh.

I am hooked on this soap. It not only smells great but does an excellent job in cleaning the clothes. Love it!!!!
