Arrangements using only green branches

Does anyone else create arrangements using only green branches of whichever plant in your garden may need a bit of pruning?

I do this often, especially when nothing is blooming, or if I want to leave the actual flower color in the garden.

In the interests of full disclosure, the arrangement in the post isn't one I put together, although I do make similar ones. It's a terrific way to bring nature indoors in a simple and easy way.

@GingerPeach, I love this too. We have many birch on our property and I use those stalks for contrast as well.

Around Christmas, I trim my holly and juniper and use those inside. Love the smell of the juniper as we don't do a real tree.

Would love to see one of your arrangements. LM

I do! We have a huge fig tree on our property and I often cut big bunches of branches and shove them in a tall, clear glass cylinder for the dining room table. I love the scale!

I like ideas like this. Using something you can get for free, temporary (won't get tired of it or have to store it) and can do something different each time you put something together.

I love this look! Very light and fresh! I love using spruce and pine in winter arrangements too! One of my friends got married with a Winter Wonderland theme, we went out and picked branches for a trial run of the center pieces. She ended up using faux branches, but I secretly liked the live ones! In any case, it was a lot of fun to do!

@Lilysmom When we first moved to this house over twenty years ago, there were Holly trees, green and the green with the creamy edges, beautiful, and also Junipers, and I would cut branches or both for Christmas. The rats got the Junipers about three years ago, and had to cut down one Holly as it was in a path and I was always being scratched, but I planted another one. I mostly use faux branches now, beautiful also.

I've never done just green leaves/branches, but the pic you posted looks nice.

I make large arrangements using forsythia or azalea brances, and of course lilacs with lots of leaves which are so soft and pretty.

I need to do something more on my front porch. Stone floor, multi colored, butter yellow siding, white door with burgundy and clear stained glass, green bench, and not much else right now as winter has just ended here. Any ideas? I will try to find a photo and post. I need some inspiration! LM

I will come back to this thread when it warms up. It was zero Celsius today when I got up. Too cold to be thinking outdoors stuff! It is supposed to be like that until the end of April. Come on Spring💐! LM
