Vintage Marimekko anyone have in the 70's FUN (then)

So, one or two of these prints might have been on display in my apartment on the 70's (REALLY)

They were purchased as fabric anchored to a large wooden frame (I think we thought we were living in a modern art museum). Earth tones of gold and Browns were real,y IN!

Dont remember seeing the prints used in fashion items.

These are all present day... I can see some of these very bright prints for a porch, but when did fabric start to cost $50/yard? WOW

In 1970, I wallpapered the dining area of my kitchen with vinyl Marimekko "Unikko" poppies in primary colors with black vertical stripes above wainscot and made matching curtains in the same print. It was fabulous!!!

Here is the pattern but mine was in primary colors:

I believe Marjolein, the AeroPilates rep, was wearing a Marimekko inspired print on air during one of the presentations recently.

I have been looking for porches, etc that have some of those prints but haven't found any (yet)

Your decorating sounds like lots of fun!

The porch/patio setting I will be looking for will be a smaller version of the flower print for sure!

How charming! I think it would be perfect on a porch... perhaps with green plants and impatiens flowers.
