Flameless Candle Hues

When I say I have a sizable collection of flameless candles, trust me, that is an understatement. I have some of the first CI ever presented. I also have quite a collection of Luminara candles. What bothers me is the different hues these candles give. CI has a more "orangey-pinkish" hue & Luminara has a more traditional yellow hue. For me, I don't like mixing the different hues when I try to arrange both. Does this make sense to any of you or do I need to get over it & move on?

It makes perfect sense to me because I have the same issue. All of mine are CI and even the different CI styles give off different hues. My sconces are a completely different hue than my pillars. I agree, I don't think they look good together. They don't even look good to me if they are across the room from each other.

Yes, get over it. Think of it this way....if you were a pioneer, you'd use bits and pieces of all kinds of candles. They were too precious to toss. You'd have a variety of colors and sizes, giving a eclectic look. Matchy match is too precious and slick...that's my take on it.

@Kachina624, you are totally correct when referring, "too precious to toss", as well as the "pioneer" inference. My age qualifies me as pioneer, lol. I don't want to do eclectic; I want to make a decision as to what hue I want down the road. I am hoping someone else shares my dilemma of a way to utilize both that looks great or or I just need to make a decision on what candle vendor I want to continue on with.

I understand your predicament. I have many candles too. My candle impression candles span many years. I plan to thin out my collection and keep the ones that look best. The vast majority are white and some have discolored. I haven't really noticed differences when they are on, but I guess I don't put them in clusters. Pillars have luminaras on them. I keep the candle impressions inside things.

I see the differences that you are talking about, and I don't like to mix them in the same vignette, but they don't bother me when apart, even in the same room.

I have lamps with nice linen color shades that give off a different light than my Tiffany style lamps with the various colored shades, (and that is kind of like the same thing) and that doesn't bother me either.

But then I never really thought about the lamp thing until you asked this, maybe it should bother me!LOL

@GCR18 & @Mominohio; love your responses. This is truly a personal preference issue, but I love the idea of using CI "inside" of things. I ordered H207926& this could work. I want to order H207991 in blue but they appear to have that pinkish hue I do not like. I am a coastal decor gal & love these. Anyone have these in blue & can speak to the hue?

@BornToShop I have a similar style to H207991, but they are in silver. They are nice. I have them out, but never turn them on. My trio has a plastic lip on the bottom. Looks like the newer version doesn't.

@GCR18, when you turned them on, how would you describe the hue? I am conflicted between the two; pinkish or orangish. I would hate ordering a battery operated item & not use it ;/

It's orange, but the new version may not be. I don't light them because I like the unlit look. Maybe I'll change it up and light them.
