Scrub Daddy QUESTION

Am I the only person who has to put scrub daddy in the freezer ? This is the only way it works, I'm a brand new user and I'm not that impressed. So am I doing something wrong ?

I didn't put mine in the freezer. What are you trying to do with the Scrub Daddy?

It's not a miracle product, but it is the best thing I've found for cleaning my non-stick pots and pans, even the enamel coated ones. I poke my faucet handle through its mouth when I'm not using it. This helps it dry nicely and it's firm to use next time. As you use the warm water it softens.

i was trying to get some burn marks off my tea pot.. It didn't remove any of it. I had to use an sos pad

I've never had to. Maybe your tap water isn't really cold? Haven't bought one in awhile though. I don't know if they've changed anything.

I think you mean you are putting it in the freezer so it will get as hard as the one in the TV demonstration? I couldn't get my Scrub Daddy to get hard either. The ad is very misleading!

Yes I'm sending mine back. Went to ebay to buy the Joe Campenella sponges that qvc used to carry. They are awesome.

I never liked these sponges....thought they disintegrated very quickly...love the Joe Campanelli sponges......

I think the demo for the Scrub Daddy gives people the wrong idea.

I don't find them to work all that well with just water, for a mess like they show on the stovetop. In those cases, it needs some kind of cleaning agent, but what is great about them is they don't scratch.

The newer version Scrub Mommy is a much better and more versitile product. I like it so much better and will probably never buy another Scrub Daddy again.

I haven't tried the scrub daddy but QVC does sell a case of magic eraser sponges very reasonable and I get them about once a year. I love magic erasers, the case for around $25 lasts me a year. Much better priced than buying them at the grocery store, and you can't beat how well they clean.

I have one scrub daddy I got at home depot. I use it on the glass top stove. I don't put it in the freezer. It's firm with water.

@Tara811 Buy the clay cleaner sold here, it removeds anything and without scratching.

My Scrub Daddies have worked just like they show on the demo - in cold water if you want it firm and warm/hot if you want it soft. They don't last forever, though. After awhile, they do weaken and thin out. For me, that's what tells me it's time to replace it. I bought the set of Scrub Mommies recently - have't tried them yet but will tomorrow for sure.

Never thought to put it in the freezer. Mine did not get hard just putting it in cold water, like they said it would.

Then I bought the scrub daddy and scurb mommy stuck together. Well, after ONE use, they came apart. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Got rid of them and will not buy again. Do not think they are that great.

I bought the Scrub Daddy in the grocery store. Hard as a rock in cold water. Soft in hot. I don't find it that great, or the Magic Erasers. I always need some type of cleanser.

When the very first Scrub Daddy's came out they were a totally different product than they are now. Those first batch lasted and lasted. The new ones are falling apart during the first use.

I still have some to use up, but I'll never buy another Scrub Daddy or Scrub Mommy.

The Campenelli sponges are the best thing I've found. I have several sets, and hope Q keeps carrying them. They last forever. Quality and performance are miles ahead of the newer Scrub Daddy's
