Funny that this would come up because I bought a set of microfiber sheets from Evine and I put them on the bed yesterday. They were so inexpensive that in my mind I wa sure they would be junk. I was sooooooo wrong. They are soft and silky and luxurious feeling and the color is rich. I don't know if all microfiber sheets are like mine but I will definitely buy more. I also liked that the Evine set came with two sets of pillow cases. I only recently started back with Evine and that sheet set made it worth while.

Of course there are quality levels in everything, but I did buy some microfiber sheets to take with us on vacation where we were renting a house. I needed sheets for a king size bed, my sheets are queen.

I found them very silky? slick? They don't feel like cotton but I didn't dislike them. Of course we had air condition there, I wasn't uncomfortable. Cotton absorbs perspiration. I don't think a microfiber would as much.

Try them. They give you 30 days don't they?

I read reviews they do pill (??)!

The purchasing thought left almost as soon as I heard how much I needed the sheets, from the vendor.

In the winter I use flannels for the bottom and a cotton summer with a comforter. Nothing wrinkles that much that a gentle tuck and pull will not take care of quickly.

Last year I bought some pricey Polar fleece 'throws'.

These are to me, not the same as the micro sheets. Those are okay for a sofa, chair or to toss over legs if reading if very cold.

They do command no fabric softener (it wrinkles), then smell the fabric for any odd chemical smell. Wash in either cold or mild tepid water then air -dry or tumble on gentle cycle but not hot. Never use a fabric softener sheet.

This is my personally opinion for self: I do not like the touch of micro unless it's a rag cloth. I have maybe four.

Micro is very inexpensive to make, thus the low price.

I have all Northern Nights for all beds with matching or non matching cases.

If you want something never to wrinkle (as they convince), then I suppose that the clincher.

I could use those if bought for only one reason -used few weeks for winter as a bedding for pet.

If I were allergic or had sensitive skin, that would be a no.

For my child/children I want the very same thing I would have for myself.

I have never owned a sheet set for $20.00. Everyone has a different definition for comfort.

Knowing, now, only from the two Q's fleece throws that have been washed one time, upon receiving. Great for a throw but have to compare a micro throw-somewhat- as the same to a sheet. Do they sleep hot?

What was heard from polar fleece is not the same as just micro. Our Polar fleece throws were very soft, but not for bed bedding.

Must be ridding the winter overstock for summer?

If you do buy micro sheets, I hope they work for what your need is.

I bought some and did not like at all. The pilling was a problem. I am a very restless sleeper and down near my feet was nothing but hard little balls of pill that felt uncomfortable. I think they would be fine in a guest room that gets only minimal use.

I have purchased some from both Evine and HSN. We like them; however, they did all pill. I would still buy them again because they are soft and just get softer and because at that price you can toss the out and get new very affordably. I do run a depillar machine over them (the hand-held battery operated one that buzzes) when I strip the bed to wash the sheets. It only takes a few seconds and removes most of the pills quickly & easily. It works for me but I can certainly see why some would not like them. They are affordable enough to try a set for 30 days to see if they work for you.

I have a few sets of microfiber sheets and I love them. I've purchased them from QVC, HSN and Evine. They are super easy to take care of and I had no pilling issues with them at all but then I wash my sheets separately. I don't put them in with anything that could cause friction, thus pilling.

I will say this. I like Evine and purchase a lot from them but I will not purchase bedding from them anymore. I have not had good luck recently. In the past, I highly touted their linens. I bought a few high thread count sheet sets and had great luck with them.

Last year I bought a top value (inexpensive) set of Cozelle microfiber sheets and I kept them because it wasn't worth sending back but I use them for my dog. I believe the decorative edging that was supposed to go along the top edge of the flat sheet was sewn on the wrong part of the sheet. If I put the flat sheet on with the edging at the head of the bed, the sides of the sheet are way too short and the sheet is abnormally long. But if I turn the sheet so the edging goes along the side, the sheet fits properly. LOL

I also ordered a Cozelle mattress pad and the backing completely frayed and fell apart after less than 1 year.

I also ordered other Cozelle sheets I sent back because they were ill-fitting and the elastic was super loose and/or gave way the first time I put them on the bed.

I've had much better luck with the Concierge Collection sheets on HSN.

I can't say about those sheets. I have both microfiber and microfleece sheets and there can be a big difference between brands. The microfiber sheets I have are soft and sueded on one side and more like satin on the other side. The soft sueded side feels soft on my skin and feels warmer than the satin-like side. The satin-like side has a sheen to it and doesn't warm as quickly. I always make the bed with the fitted sheet sueded side up and sometimes alternate the flat sheet. I prefer the sueded side most of the time, but sometimes when it's very hot, I like the cooler, satin-like side against my skin.

I like that they wash easily and feel so soft, yet are much less expensive than my 750 thread count cotton sheets, which are also very soft.

I have some Malden Mills PolarFleece microfiber sheets that are wonderful, but I recently got some by another brand and they were different. They were plushier, but that also meant they pilled and matted more. I much prefer the Malden Mills sheets.

I realize I'm taking a risk here, but I decided to go for it and bought a few sets. DH and I will be upgrading from a Queen to King size bed this spring/summer. I figured these would be good enough to at least get us started. I bought one of the add-on comforters too.

I got a set don't remember from where but along with pilling there was so much static from the polyester that I was very uncomfortable. I know they're popular and inexpensive but I plan to stick to all cotton or preferably a poly cotton blend.

Well, thanks everyone for the replies, but my decision was made for me.

I spent several hours this morning trying to choose new curtains for the main floor of the house, and when I came back, the only color I wanted was sold out!

I'll live! The curtains were a much bigger and pressing issue than the sheets.
