Lennox. No question. My Dad was a mechanical engineer with Lennox and retired from the company. While growing up, we only had a Lennox furnace and A/C system in our house. I learned a lot from Dad about HVAC systems. When I bought my house 16 years ago, it had a builder grade Carrier system which made a lot of noise and wasn't energy efficient. When I could afford it, I replaced that with a Lennox 2-stage gas furnace and A/C system -- my utility bills went down about 30-35% and the temperature in the house was much more comfortable. I sold the house last year, and really hated to part with that Lennox system -- it was a beaut!

Just replaced the 10-year old Lennox gas furnace in my current house with a new 2-stage Lennox unit and the utility bill dropped while making the house more comfortable. Best warranty in the business.

Lennox. No question.

I want to replace my gas furnace and A/C system in the spring. Currently, I have an old Lennox Whisperheat furnace and Lennox A/C.

I'm thinking about another Lennox System and am also considering Carrier brand.

If you're replaced your furnace in the last couple of years, what brand did you choose? Are you pleased with your system's performance?

Thanks for your time.

I have had a Lennox furnace and air conditioner too for the last 14 years. If I had to get a new one I would stick with Lennox since I have been very happy with them.

Good timing! The wiring for our new system was installed today and the equipment will be installed on Tuesday. We are actually converting from oil to gas. We did a lot of research and for us it came down to Lennox -- American Standard -- or Trane (which is owned by American Standard.) We went with Lennox. We are replacing both our furnace and a/c. (Also hot water heater.) Unfortunately I cannot give you a review of the equipment but a friend had a new Lennox a/c installed this past summer and has been very happy with it!

Two years ago we replaced our 20-year-old Lennox furnace and AC with new Lennox units, a 2-stage furnace, and their best and biggest AC. We LOVE them, so effiecient, cost much less to run, and the house is evenly warm or cool. No waiting for the heat or ac to kick in, just always a nice comfy temp, that you choose. We did get some energy rebates for doing this, so check with your dealer or state to see if they would apply.

Our old units were extremely reliable too; we are glad we stayed with the brand.

I put in a Lennox 93% efficient gas furnace and Lennox central a/c system 2 years ago this coming March. I replaced a Kenmore system and the difference is incredible. The system is quiet, efficient and while my gas and electric bills weren't horrible before, I still saved quite a bit of money on my utilities.

Whether it's true or not, I don't have a clue but I was told that I got the best system available at the time. I also got a rebate from my gas company for purchasing that system. The ac unit is close to my bedroom window which was a concern but I do not hear it at all and overall it is very efficient so I am happy :-)

There is news online now that Carrier in Indiana is moving to Mexico, letting go of something like 1,400 people. The employees booed like mad when the CEO made the announcement, and he actually tried to assure them it was such a difficult decision -- purely business. IMHO, when businesses start thinking about their people, the people will take care of the business.
