I'm in south Georgia and that depends upon the home owner's likes and dislikes. I have all electric appliances, as do many home down here because electric is cheaper and safer than a gas accident. There really isn't a huge deal of difference between the two, except the time to heat up and stop heating. A wall oven is an easy fix to get a different one. I wouldn't let it make or break my purchase of a house.

Electricity is far cheaper down here than gas, so that is most likely the reason why people have them over gas appliances.

My grandmother has a gas wall oven, or had. She recently replaced her small wall oven with a range after many decades of having a cooktop and wall oven, both gas. Now she has a gas range/oven. She did have to order the gas wall oven special ordered since they didn't carry it in stock. The new one was way smaller than the old even though the exterior dimension were the same. She wasn't happy, so she now has the range so she doesn't have to lift things into the wall oven. She is 79.

Homes may have gas cooktop but electric wall ovens simply because of the placement or lack of) gas line running to the area of the wall oven.

I do not believe I have ever seen a gas double wall oven in someone's kitchen here.

But,, they do different things in different areas for different reasons - maybe, just ask your realtor out there. It may just be that is the more common way to go or it could just be the builders choice .
