I left the blanket I was trying to attach blanket binding to in the sewing machine for 2 days...on my kitchen counter tops...I just could not get the mitered corner issue straight in my head.

I had baking I had to get done today so i took the bull by the horns and finished the project, yea!

I continued sewing until I was a couple inches from each corner, I backstitched and cut the threads and made the mitered corner by hand and then put the blanket back under the needle and continued stitching until I came to the next corner. I think it looks pretty good, I washed it and it didn't fall apart so I guess it is giftable. I am so glad that is done!

Thanks everyone for your tips and links.

So glad you mastered those corners. Hurray!! I'm sure the recipient will be thrilled to have a cozy blanket.

I'm going to start watching the videos again as I'd like to attempt a few bound blankets in the new year.

Just got a huge shipment of fleece, so I've got to get busy soon or it will be summer!
