This guy is a hoot, and he is a good teacher. 'Skeen', lol!

Anyhow, he's using a round loom-available at JoAnns and AAmazon. I've been using the Knifty Knitters, and I love them!

I have one of those! Never even took it out of package. It's smaller and I think blue or pink. It's for making hats like he's wearing.

I don't know why I buy that stuff. I think that my mind likes to PRETEND (key word) that it is smarter than it really is. I kept looking at the directions and never even opened up the package.

So you are making one of those? Good for you. I'm glad to know people buy those things and use them.

@Lacey1 Look at this one! My dear friend made this for my 35 year old daughter who skiis every weekend! Believe it or not, her friends and even strangers have asked her where they could get one.

These looms are amazing! My loom must be 40 years old. My mom bought them and we couldn't figure out the instructions. I came across them about a month ago. Thanks to YouTube-I figured them out. I've made 6 hats-next I'm going to try socks!

I also came across 'Plarn' videos. You cut up plastic gorcery bags into strips and use them as yarn. They make sleeping mats for homeless people, animal shelters, etc.. This would be a good project for a brownie troop.

WOW Lacy....I'm impressed!

I crochet (thought not lately) scarfs. I just do one stitch. I used to give them to a friend who's church runs a thermo place where people who are homeless come to sleep in her church when it's cold.

They'd all leave there with one of my (sometimes very bright) scarfs to keep warm! Just did it for fun and to help my poor arthritic hands!

You should see the things my friend who made the hood I posted makes. They are unbelievable.

You see my daughter posts these pictures to me (like the hood) and my friend makes them. I think I gave her $75 for it maybe $100. When you think of the time, etc. I think it's a bargain and not something you'd see every day. She never wants to take the money, but I tell her I'm getting a bargain. More importantly, it makes my daughter happy. Not easy to do (impress a 35 year old I spoil). Ha!
