I've lived most of my life in coastal areas and I've always been an avid shell collector, as well as shark teeth.

I have baskets of shells, starfish and shark teeth all over the house and my most prized find is a huge shark tooth from the megalodon era.

I love shells! I guess it's because I'm landlocked in Missouri and the only ones I have are from cruises to the Caribbean and a trip to Fl. we took several years ago. Each shell holds such great memories! I have them in our master bath that is beach/ocean themed. I also took empty pill bottles with us on our trips and brought back sand from each beach we were at. I put them in small blue bottles on my mb window sill. Weird, I guess, but kind of a free souvinier (sp).

Lovely. I have a small shell accumulation. Have you ever heard of or checked out the Margaret Furlong items? She started making things that were inspired by shells and nature.

I live near Boca Grande and Sanibell Island which are both fabulous shelling areas. I have shells decorating all over my house. The housekeeper complains about having to dust them.
