I've always used a sponge or steamer mop. I ordered the spin mop and must say, that's the most physically taxing housework I ever did. I was exhausted and my floor wasn't any cleaner than if I had used one of my other methods. I took the mop, carefully sequester it in a corner of the garage where it will reside until I move out of the house.

I prefer a Don Aslett mop because it gets used once and then washed. It is lightweight too. My housekeeper uses a spin mop and it leaves the floors very wet. Takes them a long time to dry!

And I like mine. I bought it on HSN when it was a special and came with a dolly.

You do have to really spin it tho, I've never had 'wet' floors with it.

The DynaMop is the absolute original. Strong and definitely superior to any you can buy on line.

Cost a little more but there was no postage to pay and I bought mine on clearance.

Customer Service is great to deal with; their desire is to please.their customers.

Do a search for the newest 2015 twist and shout mop. I have it and it is awesome! Google search it.

I most often use a steam mop; however, purchased the cedar brand spin mop from Wal Mart to use on our pergo floors in the family room. It leaves the floor very dry and the cost was less than the spin mop.
