Do you have a decorated ledge beside your stairs?

I just looked at mine going to the basement and I think it's time to change it out. At Christmas time, I do decorate that ledge. I've never done it for fall, but maybe it's time.

Right now, I have some small crocks and larger candles. It's just time for a change, and I feel it.

Need some new ideas. Anyone?

Lanterns are big right now. I see them all over, even small ones for votive candles.

I only have deck stairs since I've got a single story. I do put potted plants on those. You can grow some ivy or other vine plant that drapes down or climbs the banister for a lovely look!

That's one of kitty's favorite places to nap, so anything I put there is perceived to be a toy and gets knocked to the floor.

I had it decorated when I first moved in in 1993 but took it all down to paint years ago and never quite knew how to decorate it after that. I want something that won't be a pain to dust, so I don't want fabric or small pieces.

I need to go out to Pinterest and see if there are any ideas out there.

@wildcat fan...Adorable!...I can't think of any better "decoration" than your kitty gracing the ledge!...Make sure to put down a soft little blanket or throw to make it more comfortable...lol...I was also just thinking that, hanging a picture of your kitty in that area, would add a "puurrrfect" touch to her/his favorite spot!
