A Viewpoints poster that emails her said she was banned. So she can't post but they said she's doing fine.

Even 'banned' posters, assuming that's accurate, can return with a new email address if they choose to. I'd noted her posting regularly elsewhere, but not so much here as she did a while back. Yes, she is missed.

Stevie they've started banning IP addresses as well not just email addresses. I don't know the "whys" all I know is one of her email friends in Viewpoints said she's banned but doing well and posting on other boards. Maybe asking in Vewpoints would get a better answer, don't know. Just thought posters wanted to know somebody posted that she's ok.

Interesting. I hadn't heard they'd started banning IP addresses. If they chose to do that, I don't recall them saying so on these boards, which, if they didn't, they should... I don't recall her posts tending toward the confrontational so this is surprising. It seems that if they've cracked down that harshly, they need a protocol for warning users that they have and also of advising posters when they're on the verge... I'm really surprised as, again, I never saw her post anything that I'd personally consider 'ban worthy'.

Why should TPTB advise here that they've upped the anti on banning by banning by IP? I would imagine a banned poster receives some sort of notification as to status, and I would also suspect that banning by IP isn't the first step (could be wrong, have no personal experience).

Don't know what Moxie was banned, but she didn't just participate on this forum sharing home decor. Those of you who don't read over on viewpoints regularly might be surprised at some of the different aspects of folks behavior. I say read regularly because if you only pop in once in a while, you don't see the real eye-openers as the poofs are sometimes fast and furious.

Note please, I said I don't know what she was banned for and I didn't say she deserved to be banned, so your "I disagree" strikes me as odd.

I personally think banning should be used very sparingly. What I did state however was fact that how people post here on this forum is very different from how they post on viewpoints.

Have to get on here and say I have always looked forward to the posts from Moxie I liked that she shopped all over the places and would come on and tell us if we were looking for this or that she found this on a different site. Loved all her decoration ideas she was not afraid to be her own person. Last year at Easter I think she is the one who found the black bunnies and told is were to find them. So yes Moxie is missed by me.
