Should I Go?

David announced last night that he would be at a book signing today. Lo and behold, it is right in my area!

I think it would be fun to meet him. I need to head in that direction to pick up something and this would be a nice side trip.

Would you go if he were in your area?

I'm not big on cooking; so, I wouldn't be interested. However, since you are and since you like David and since you want to go. Go! And enjoy the experience.

I would absolutely go! I attend a lot of book signings and festivals and I've always had a fantastic time. Sometimes I go with friends, sometimes alone. I've met Lauren Bacall, Dan Rather, Dave Barry, President Jimmy Carter, Walter Mosely, Lynne Rosetto Kasper and so many more through book signings and I cherish my signed books and memories. Bring a camera/camera phone, so you can take pictures and get a picture with David.

Of course I would go. A friend of mine and I went to one of the 50/50 road shows they had and it was a blast.

We also got to see Mary Beth Roe at the Mall of America years ago. We met her mom and dad and got pictures. It was fun! We didn't even know she was going to be there. It had nothing to do with QVC, she was there doing something with a pageant. Can't remember exactly what she was doing, maybe being a judge?

If I knew Nick Chavez was around where I could meet him, I'd jump at the chance. So if you like David, you should jump at the chance to meet him. It could be the dream of a lifetime.

Well, my NON-QVC friend has declined my invitation to go with me to see David.

I guess I will go on my own and get a photo and a cookbook. I hope they have food samples.

I am sure it will be fun!

According to Facebook, they will not be selling cookbooks there. If you don't already have one, you are out of luck.

It sounded like a fun adventure. Too bad your friend won't go. I have a friend that I can make go anywhere. I have no problem going somewhere alone if I want to go. Hope you had fun.

I am back and had a pleasant time! David started with a Q & A session from the attendees.

Then people lined up to have their books signed and have their pictures taken with him.

He had blank book plates for those without books.

I was lucky enough to have a brief chat with him and he is just as nice in person.

I was in the back of the room and I really noticed how great a voice he has and is very articulate. (Of course!)

He said he also made a stop at the call center to sign books for employees at QVC.

I was in and out in less than an hour. It was fun!
