Have any clearance or "as is" home/garden purchases lately?

I am going a little crazy this weekend with wanting home decor items. With their President's day clearance items I bought VPH's Snow sled wreath and the Gingerbread wreath. Then I decided to check out the "as is" items and have decided on VPH's Words to Live By set of 4 candles. I wanted them originally but they seemed too high priced. Will order her glittered pumpkin set too in the "as is." The only "as is" items I ever ordered was VPH 4 carolers and a set of the mason jar candles. They looked just like new. I am afraid with her spring shows starting, her Holiday items will disappear soon. The "as is" prices are more in line of what I can pay for things that I have wanted, but felt were just too much money. I would love to hear of any clearance items or "as is" items you have purchased lately. I am a decorating nutalong with being a bird nerd!

I've purchased many as is home decor items. I bought h204932 end of last year. Bethlehem lights sprigs in copper. I think it's in the top 5 best purchases. I was only able to get 2, but they are enough for my big vase. I saw them for a while in as is and bypassed them. Then one day I decided to look for something new for my vase and looked closer at them. They've been on the same batteries for three months, just now starting to dull. I can't find anything like them anywhere. I'll be on the lookout for them this year. From what I can tell, they came out in Christmas in July. Love as is.

I purchased some as-is garland during the holidays. I would have purchased more had it been available. I really appreciate the as-is and clearance section as the lowered price brings some items to a reasonable level.

I was slightly tempted by the glitter eggs being offered as a Lunchtime Special, but decided that I'm not going to buy any more holiday specific decor unless I absolutely love it.

Since Christmas, I've ordered one set of as-is gold mercury glass clip-on birds, and one set of as-is champagne glitter picks. There didn't seem to be many available and I feel lucky to have seen them and grabbed them when I did. Both are in good to great shape.

I've been really surprised at how few holiday items have shown up as-is lately. I expected we'd see more holiday decor returns, not that I needed any more.

Going forward, I think (hope!) I'll be sticking primarily to as-is and clearance priced decor items, since as of today, 2-17, original s&h won't be refunded on anything, unless it is defective. So, the lower priced items seem less of a risk to me if I am not thrilled with them when I get them. If they're defective, which as-is sometimes are, we should still be covered when having to return.

graycatsrule, Isn't it strange how some battery items last no time and others last forever? I have one of Valerie's light green beaded light strands w/ white lights. I started using it in November around some trees, and the 2 C batteries are still going. I moved it to inside a Spring lantern for now, just to see how long they will actually last.

I have made several small purchases lately but I am TRYING to be good because I have a huge Vet bill. I admit I get bored & buy stuff - guilty as charged!!!

I do want to get the beaded pumpkin set at the ""as is"" price before they are gone. I got the tiny beaded pumpkin set (12 pieces maybe) last Fall & they are very nice. I have wanted the larger ones for quite a while but other things came first.

I'm with you - I can't always justify the full price (& shipping!) when its for me. A gift is different of course.

I will post the items I already got as soon as I remember what they are LOL!!!

Yes, I wonder what they did with all the returns. I read a lot of product reviews that said they were returning items but I didn't see them in as is. I checked a lot and was hoping to grab a few of the Bay leaf picks in gold or champagne as The Q took my order for them but couldn't deliver, sold more than they had. I did get the Bronze and love them. These are the ones without glitter. I like to check as is for Harvest too.

Glad you love them, shopr. What a nice price reduction in them too. Sometimes, I see as is items which really haven't been reduced that much. These were. If I needed something like this, I would be all over these. Enjoy!!!

Hi rosehill. These do have a nice price reduction for clearance, which is rare. I would think that if they showed up as is, they might be even less.
