First thing I did when we finally got power after not having power for 48+ hours was to clean up. The house had tiny bits of leaves and seemed like everything else tracked through it.

I pulled out the Dyson canister vacuum I bought a year ago but only used twice because I was disappointed with the way it didn't pick up dog fur. But I needed it now to get the house liveable again. And I was pleased with the way it was cleaning. I was on the third room when I was cleaning under the sofa. And the ferrets or dog - who knows - had pulled off some of the pad underneath the carpet. The Dyson sucked it up but made a higher noise. So I cleaned out the dirt cup. And now you have to pick up the dog fur and stick it in the nozzle. It has very little suction power. I know the tube isn't clogged - I checked it. And I can not find anything clogging the inside of the dirt cup. Any suggestions?
