Is there anyone here that has no drapes or curtains in their home?

I don't like them. I have blinds built in all of our windows and we don't have any drapes or curtains. Our house is modern style, so it looks fine.

We are going to move in probably a year to a house that has regular windows with no blinds built in. I don't know what I'm going to do for window coverings. All blinds? Those collect dust too, but I still think I would like blinds better than curtains.

What do you like for window coverings?

Blinds and drapes . I have one nosy neighbor who stands and stares in. He is pathetic.

I have plantation shutters in my new home. They look like they are built into the window frame. I really like them. Easy to take care - I run a Swiffer duster over them.

Blinds only. I like lots of light in my house and drapes block light.

I'm so glad to hear these responses. Even though I have all blinds in my house now, I actually don't know anyone personally that doesn't have any drapes or curtains. I thought maybe I was the only one.

I don't have blinds or curtains on the windows in my kitchen or family room. They are in the back of the house and it's all fenced in and there are a lot of tall trees. I do have plantation shutters in the front of the house.

In the bedrooms, I have floor to ceiling curtains with blackout liners. I like curtains in the bedrooms because they're decorative, IMO.

In my bathrooms, I have wooden blinds.

That would be me. None, nothing. Just beautiful woods and a lake to look at. No close neighbors. We live in a log cabin so it doesn't look funny.

Blinds...the only time I wish we had drapes is when its really cold...which isn't often here.

I am a minimalist when it comes to window coverings. I hate the look of overdone, fussy window treatments. However, I have blinds on some windows, drapes on others, and am able to close them as needed.

I have blinds and curtains in my bedroom, blinds and a valence in the other 2 bedrooms. Blinds and lace curtains in the dining room. According blind in the bathrooms. Silhouette blinds with a lace valance in the living room and wood blinds in the kitchen(which match the trim of the window and stay open most of the time -the kitchen is in the rear of the house). I prefer blinds only or the least amount of window coverings as possible.

No curtains here. Just blinds. Eventually I will replace those with shutters.

I have blinds and drapes....my drapes are good insulators against the cold of winter and the heat of summer.....I open them on nice days....or if I get company during the day...

I have all plantation shutters built into Windows. Have lived in my home 38 years the day after Thanksgiving. Started with custom drapes and Blinds, then just the custom long blinds, forget what they were called , with custom shades in the bedroom. Always had to be professional cleaned. I wish I had put the plantation shutters in years ago. They mAke an old home look new and modern and so easy to take care of. Just a swipe of a wet cloth or the swifter duster. Low cost cleaning, plus you can open them up and let the sunshine or clouds, or landscape in.
