I have always preferred Energizers to Duracells...but for over a month now I've been doing a 'test'....One has Energizers, and one has Duracells - they are set on 'auto timer' so the 'burn' times are equal. So far they're both burning bright. The reason I bring this up - Costco has Duracell C or D cell batteries on sale until 9/9/12 -Twelve D batteries is 12.99 less 2.50.... Instead of going broke buying Energizers for these 16 candles... I bought the Duracells.
