How strange. Surely all the back and forth disappearances and reappearances are a result of business at Q, but what about the customers who like both brands? It doesn't seem like good business to have things just disappear with no notice or explanation. You'd think they would have learned that lesson already.

The forums and their FB pages were inundated with What happened to Luminara questions and comments. While Solare won't have that kind of following after such a short time, surely Q could avoid some customer frustration by adding a brief note of explanation on the website that appears when a customer searches for Solare.

I would guess this has more to do with a turf war than a lawsuit. The company named in the lawsuit does not look like it makes Solare. I've googled Solare, btw, and they have some other beautiful options on their website that QVC never presented. I hope they come back.

I think BL does make the Luminara candles. I was in our local home improvement store and they had a big display of the Luminara candles - all different sizes in the ivory color. I was so surprised when it said by BL. There were no candle holders or lanterns - nothing - just the candles. The big black display had the Luminara name, a candle turned on so you could see the flame, and right under the Luminara name it said Bethlehem Lights. I had no idea.

Thanks, itsmetoo. I would have been surprised, too. I stand corrected in my reply #11, where I had said I thought BL probably only made the lantern and candle holder parts. I knew there was a connection between the two names, but still, what you saw is surprising.
