I would really be in trouble everytime I turn around I am doing windows. For 37 years I did my Anderson windows 10 of them ( the up and down ones) plus my 10 ft. bay window at least twice a month. I wore those window frames out. One day I said before I die there will be new windows in this house that I can do from the inside, I moaned to my son who lived 3000 miles from home. Well lo and behold I answer my phone one day and a wonderful top notch window installer was on the other end and said I will be out on Monday to measure for new windows for your home. My son bought me all new windows now I can do them just by tilting them in wonderful. No more hanging this body out the windows. If I couldn't do my windows my self I would be on the phone also looking for a window cleaning company, love clean windows. Or else I would be trying that Windex product.

When we lived in Pa we had windows that flipped inside out so I could clean the outside from within the house. Now I no longer have that luxury and I don't do ladders so DH has to be the outside window cleaner. He absolutely refuses to do them more often than once a year and I don't blame him as he has to crawl behind a lot of landscaping like palmetto bushes to get it done. So I just sent an e mail to a company called Fish window cleaning - which appears to be a national company- for an estimate on having them done professionally.Has anyone ever used this company - were you satisfied with the job they did?

We have a one story home and use this Windex. You attach a water hose to it and rinse the windows. It's easy and works wonderfully. I've used it for years. It's then easy for me to clean the interior windows.

We did not use Fish for cleaning cleaning but We did use them for gutter cleaning.

Con: The price was not the cheapest we could find, but reasonable, I thought.

Pros: The salesman was very low key...no super high sales tactics.

The estimate was complete on the spot, no waiting.

The 2 man crew that did the gutter cleaning did an excellent job. No landscaping was damaged. They did a super job with clean up.

The local owner called a few days later asking how things were.

So, even though we didn't use them for window cleaning specifically, we'd contact them again if we need them for other services.

When in retail, we had large plate glass windows, and to avoid ladders, we used a squeegee with a long handle (think that window cleaner thing at the gas station, but with an extension handle), a bucket of water with Tide in it. Most sparkling windows, seemed to resist dirt for awhile, worked from the ground without ladders, could stay back from building (or out of the landscaping), pay for equipment one time, do as often as you like.
