My BF and I are always discussing things we read about or see, where they describe a certain decor (late dorm room, Craig's List cornucopia, early saloon, vintage waiting room, contemporary attorney, etc.). There was a show that I liked by HGTV star Emily, where she "defined" a couple's sense of style. Two years ago I purchased a house which had been a rental property for 18 years. It was completely lacking in color and character, but I have spent this time adding my personal touches. I gravitate towards colors, prints, interesting fabrics, custom artwork, and unique pieces. One of my favorite pieces of furniture is a vanity table in bubble gum pink that has a bench and table with drawer. At some point they might have also had a mirror, but when I bought them it was just two pieces. I left the paint color, as I am a pink lady, but changed out the fabric on the bench and replaced the cushion for something more plush. Now it functions as my sewing table. I would call my decor "eclectic traveler".

How about you? How would you (or friends/family) describe your decor?
