Microfiber sheets

When I first got my set of microfiber sheets... I was thinking how cheap and light they were.... that was over a year ago! I got rid of all my heavy cotton rough sheets and not only use microfiber. They are light, smooth and cool. They wash and dry like a dream with no wrinkles. I would not use nothing but microfiber!

I love them too, get very good deals on SHQ on their Cozelle brand, many usually on clearance.

Interesting. Cheap, yes. Light, yes. No wrinkles, yes. But cool? Here I must disagree; I find them hot and am going back to cotton. (Full disclosure - mine are 40% bamboo; 60% microfiber - purchased from another online vendor.)

I keep looking at them, but just can't seem to commit to buy. I like cotton everything. I have sheets that are 50/50 cotton and polyester and I use them, but they are not my favorite. 100% cotton does wrinkle, but who cares? They look smooth on my bed and feel wonderul next to my skin. And, no one sees them when I make my bed.

I do have a microfiber coverlette and I do like that. Maybe I need to give the sheets a try.

My dh insisted that we try microfiber sheets and now we have three sets. I love the way they wash and dry. I sleep hot and these do not feel too warm to me. I have a set of 1,000 TC sheets that I bought about six years ago that I can't stand. They feel like sails. I've kept them in case I need the material down the road for something else besides sheets.

I wouldn't take any more microfiber sheets from SHQ if they sent them free. I don't like the fabric, the elastic is shot after a couple washings, they're too big for the bed even with toppers and they won't stay tucked. All of mine are going in the donation bag. I hate them.

I have been washing these sheets and elastic for almost two years now once a week. None have become shot. Yes the sheets do slip a bit... not an issue with me I guess. They fit nicely over my thick mattress.

I don't know how you can beat microfiber sheets. I've been using them for about three years now and I have no complaints. At the very beginning I thought mine felt a bit papery and fragile, but three years later they're still going strong and have long since lost that papery feel. It's rare to find something that's cheap, durable, comfortable, easy to care for, and widely available that's so good.

I really like microfiber sheets for the summer months and have several sets. I like the way they dry so quickly, however, I do not use softener sheets when drying them in the dryer. I live in a cold climate and prefer flannel sheets in the winter. So, will be changing them up before too long. Love the flannel too.

I couldn't imagine using microfiber sheets, but then I tend to be hot so that's probably most of the reason. Everything on my bed is 100% cotton. I'm definitely a cotton girl!

Me too chickenbutt, I can tolerate 50/50, but not all polyester, I love cotton, and they are hard to find and when you do, very expensive!

I just want to find some 50% Cotton/50% Poly Percale... that's all, the old fashion percale sheets are impossible to find. AND I WANT SOME.....

Sorry. I've been looking for a long time and they've disappeared in favor of all cotton (don't want).....

Gazelle, what brand do you like? Shelbelle, I am wanting to try microf sheets and looked at the shq cozelle. Are they all the same quality fabric!? I see them here too by Home Reflections.

Q4u. Have you looked at ll beans percale? Not sure of the fabric makeup but they are called percale.

I have not tried the Cozelle brand, but I do LOVE the Q's Malden Mills Polarfleece sheets.

Some of the warehouse stores carry microfiber sheets (BJ's) and Costco carries the most beautiful fleece sheets. I use both microfiber in spring/summer (love them) and fleece sheets in the fall/winter (adore them.) I got rid of all the flannel sheets.

Q4u - I, too, love percale and searched high and low. I finally found them at Macy's online and ordered a set. I think they are Martha Stewart brand. They are light weight so I don't know how they will wear long term, but I am happy with them and will order another set soon. Good luck with your search.

My Malden Mill Polar Fleece sheets never fit my mattress. They're too small; the elastic wouldn't even fit under the mattress. I had to re-make the whole bed every day. I really think buying sheets on TV is a bad idea. Both the fabric and construction are cheap. I tried the Cozelle brand fleece sheets several years ago and they were so thin I could watch TV through them.
