Fall Porches!

It's time again! What is everyone doing this year??

I still like the pumpkin towers, will probably do it again this year. I'm liking the cornstalks too, but the mess? Tried the straw bales a few years ago, mess at the front door was intolerable . . .

I like #7, it's an old pic. I keep coming back to it; think it's the greenery combined with the orange really like the combo.

#9 would be me. Really, #7 is my favorite. I love that look but didn't realize that greenery and Pumpkins are so pretty together. We just always see Pumpkins and straw or corn stalks together. Thanks, WL, enjoyed the pictures.

Thanks for sharing some great inspiration pictures, Whitelinen. I love #7, too. I think it's not only the mix of green and pumpkins, but the backdrop of the shingles that makes this look so charming. I giggled when I saw #9...very clever. I don't do any decor on the front of my house except for changing out the wreath. Sometimes, I decorate inside the windows that flank the front door with some Halloween type theme just for the trick-or-treaters.

They are all beautiful! Makes me want to get some pumpkins soon and start decorating!

We're getting a new roof today and I also ordered new outdoor light fixtures which have been backordered so I can't wait to see the new look!...

I'll probably get some cornstalks for the tall posts on the porch and a bale of straw with a few pumpkins and maybe a scarecrow sitting on it. I have to see what decorations we have stashed away. I never had a problem with the straw being too messy...I just sweep any bits of straw into the garden.

Many years ago we had some jack o lanterns on the front porch and there must have been some extra seeds from the pumpkins that got swept into the front garden & shrubs. Well the following summer we had a strange looking plant growing there and my neighbor convinced me to just let it grow and see what it was...turned out that by Halloween we had two very large pumpkins! Thank goodness there was one for each of our kids! Now if I actually tried to grow pumpkins it never would have happened!
