My dog is dreaming now and making weird noises lol

I'm sitting here listening to my dog and laughing. Sometimes when he sleeps he moves his legs and feet too. He must be dreaming that he's running.

My dog barks in her sleep doggie dreams....funny thing is she rarely EVER barks at all...but in her sleep she barks a lot! Must be all those squirrels in her dreams!

I always thought my old beagle was reliving his earlier hunting days with a previous owner. He was woofing up a storm and running with his legs.

They are so funny aren't they?! Sometimes mine tries to chase squirrels and everything else he sees. Our neighbor has a beagle. I've always thought they are sweet dogs.

My black lab is a big dreamer- he even pretends his running and wags his tail....he is so sweet.

so funny, my 2 do the same. both aren't big barkers - no barking at cars, other people, mailman, not even a squirrel. but in their sleep it's like their singing the opera to me. too funny.

Awww. My husband's best friend had a black lab for many years. My dog sounded like he was hiccuping a minute ago lol.

Mine barks a lot and is LOUD but harmless! Hubby and I often sit here and laugh when he's sleeping. He must have some pretty interesting dreams! One night he was on his back with all four legs up in the air carrying on. That was one of the funniest sessions he's ever had lol.

Yeah, well, ours walks and barks in his sleep!!

He'll jump off the bed, barking and run into the living room, still barking madly ...... suddenly realizing where he is and wondering why he's there ..... and will turn and go back to bed with his tail between his legs ...

We call it Sleep Barking !!!

My beagle Maddie has long conversations in her sleep. She also often looks like she's running. I like to think she's chasing squirrels while she sleeps. There's a wonderful dog food ad where they show what sleeping dogs are dreaming about. Dogs are just the most wonderful creatures!

I know dogs do this. It's not unusual, but I was wondering how you would know the difference between normal sleeping activity and a seizure. My pup was whining and twitching and I thought he might be having a seizure while he slept, although he has never had a seizure of Any kind. Just a thought.

My pointer/beagle mix jerks and whines and whimpers all the time when she's sleeping. I mean ALL the time. She's a rescue we got last December and I've never had a dog do this before, not this much. On her first checkup I mentioned it to the vet because it's rather alarming, and he said she's fine. That may be so, but I still don't like it. She does not look or sound like she's having pleasant dreams.

Love hearing about all your fur-baby's dream time. Missing my Tess who went to doggie heaven last March. She would start out having her paws twitch, then she would start to do what I called a whisper-bark. Then her legs would move like she was running. then a full-out bark. She's a happy camper now. Hope to see her again one day.

I love it when dogs run in their sleep, moving their paws. So cute. When my niece was a baby, she couldn't talk, yet, but she would use sign language while dreaming. Her older sister was deaf, and the rest of the family signed. Wish I could have made a video.

Our golden retriever will lay on his back with all four paws up in the air and wimper in his sleep. It's so cute. He even lays like that at the end of the bed and he has fallen off on to the floor sometimes.
