Bedsheet sets

Why should someone purchasing sheet sets for twin or full size pay the same amount as queen, king & cal. king?? That is not a bargain for the twin or full buyers. The Q always offers this and I wish they would stop.

I agree OP. I see those sets that are one price for all sizes, and think that for my queen beds, good deal, for the twins, I'll go somewhere else.

I bought nice 100% cotton TWIN sheet set from Meijer this weekend for $15.

No way I could find that for King, and no way I would pay King prices for twin.

X-large clothes cost the same as petite.

The sheets I buy are priced by the size: Twin, Queen, King, Ca King

I also equate clothing and linens. What does bug me, though, is the twin sheets usually come with one pillow case while larger sizes come with two.

the twins should come with two and all others should have four...who only has two pillows on their full....queen and king beds....then you get stuck having to purchase more pillowcases which usually cost a fortune...if you can find some to match....

This has annoyed me for some time. I recently went shopping and grew irritated that my Petites were priced the same as those in Misses and Women's (same exact items, just different parts of the store and of course, more fabric used.) I guess the only reason I was so aware this time is because I was with my mother and a friend, who shop in Women's and Misses, respectively.

I buy Threashold sheets at Target, all priced seperately, and I do not have extra flat sheets laying around

All the King and Queen people are pretty happy about it though! Buy the smaller sizes elsewhere.

I've always figured Q does this just to lure in the Q and K bed customers, making them think they're getting a great deal, while only stocking a small quantity of the twin and full sets.

I found some beautiful sheets at Stein Mart. I have 6 king size pillows on my bed. I always have to buy extra pillowcases. They have some nice pillowcases there too.

I look at it this way. The big sizes are a deal. Of course, I don't have twin beds either, so then I might feel differently. Remember there is virtually as much labor sewing the large sizes as there is the small, especially in clothing.

I do see your point, depglass, but in my mind, I was thinking that there should be at least a minor cost differential for the larger amount of material needed for misses/women's. Does that make sense, or am I just being silly (lol)?

It depends on the quality of the sheetset and the price. I just went on-line today and saw Northern Nights 400TC Ashley sheets on clearance for $56.88 --- huge discount. I ordered 3 sets of full (for my extra beds) and 1 queen set (for my bed). This week, I'll be buying 2 new mattresses for 2 of my bedrooms - and I want the beds to look spiffy. The 3rd full set is extra. You can also mix and match these sets. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered 2 sets (queen) of Northern Nights 400TC Embroidered sheetset at the OTO for $69.96. This price would also be low for a twin/full. These wrinkle defense sheets are my favorite -- and the colors are glorious. ....and I didn't even have to leave my house!!!!

I sell sheet sets in my furniture store. My cost on sheets go up about $2.50 per size. So the price (my cost) between a twin and regular size is $2.50, the price between a twin and a queen size is $5.00, and on up.

I do not have all my sheets the same price! I'm guessing QVC is making full markup on the King sizes and they are making even more on the smaller sizes.

Regarding the clothing, the cost of making a petite item should be less and should be sold at a lower price. Since I did sew years ago, I know the fabric for a petite item would be less yardage and cost less than for a plus size.
