In the first place, you can't identify the books by the titles on their spines in this position. In the second place, you'd have a sea of bland white pages facing your room rather than the rich colors, lettering, embossing, etc. on the covers and spines of books? I love books, have tons of them, and find them a beautiful decorating element -- especially beautiful old/antique books.</P> <P><EM>Why</EM> would anyone shelve books backwards?
