King Size Sheets-which end is up?

I have a King Size Bed. King size beds are 72 inches wide by 75 inches long. putting fitted sheets on is always a challenge to figure out which way they go. Even though it's only a few inches if you don't get them right I find one end is too loose and the other too tight so they sometimes pop off the corners. Someone told me that you can tell which way they go because the manufacturers tag showing content should always be at the bottom left of the bed as you face the head of the bed from the foot. has anyone else heard this and know if it is true?

I have owned a king bed for 40 years. The king mattress is 78 X 80 inches. So, basically it is more like a square. I find either direction my fitted sheets go on pretty much the same.

That is what I had heard also, and it works for me.

Targets Threahold cotton sheets are marked, sides and top/ bottom

I suggest trying them both ways, and deciding which is better. Put a small safety pin in a certain corner--then just remember what the pin means!

I am going to look for the little tag next time I change sheets. Usually, I put the fitted sheet on whichever way it lands when I throw it down.

Once I got the correct fit, I used a indelible marking pen for the " foot ". --- this was written on the bottom of the fitted sheet in large letters. Works every time ! ! !

I've got a queen sized bed, but I always put the inside tag on the bottom right corner of my bed when I'm facing it. It's never failed me.

I always have mine bottom right, standing at the foot. You can tell if you get a striped set. The stripes go from head to toe and the tag is always bottom right. I had to tell my Merry Maid girl cause i had stripes going from side to side and they didnt fit!

I never had a issue with getting the sheets on correctly when we had a Queen size bed. The difference between top/bottom and sides were visible and easy to tell which was correct but the King size beds are too close in width and length to easily determine which is which.

I can't remember ( Yes I know this really helps ) but NNights used to say bottom sheet had tag at top left or right I don't supposed it makes a difference but it does work.

Just a reminder that the size for a King size (also known as an Eastern King) is different from a California King. King size beds are 76" wide x 80" long. California King beds are 72" wide x 84" long. My Mom has a California King bed and bought new King sheets. Of course, they didn't fit because they were for a King NOT California King bed. She had no idea there was a difference. At to tell which end is up, I always take a marker and place a "B" under the edge of the sheet so I know that is the Bottom. HTH

I do something similar, I mark an "s" on both side with a black sharpie. It has saved a lot of time and frustration.

As I stand at the foot of the bed I always put the tag in the bottom right corner on every set of sheets I have ever owned except one set on our king size bed. Been doing this for 35 yrs. One set of flannel sheets I have you have to put the tag on the top right corner. I figured that tag was sewn on the wrong corner. LOL!!!

As others have said, the tag goes on the bottom right. Same thing for comforters.
