I have Silestone quartz counters in the "Lagoon" pattern. It looks a lot like Carrera marble, but isn't quite as "busy" & is more durable than real marble. My back splash is done in real Carrera marble in a Versailles pattern mosaic & they look great together.

Anyone have counters that look like marble? My friend has white granite that looks similar buts it's very busy. Thanks so much. I have no idea what happened to my first post on the subject.

I know that at the stoneyard they will discourage buying marble for a kitchen because it stains. I have seen quartz that resembles marble closely.

In my home i have formica that looks exactly like marble, the edges are finished with a bullnose and you really have to look closely to realize it is just formica.

My installers sealed it and all I do is just wipe it whenever I see anything on it. Just as I would with any other type of countertop. I wouldn't trade my granite for the world!

I wanted white quartz, but the designer at the store where I bought my cabinets suggested the marble pattern.

If you look in just about any home magazine, marble seems to have replaced granite as the countertop of choice. All the homeowners in the articles talk about how it stains and they wanted a "natural patina".

I wanted the look of marble (but no stains!) with the easy care and durability of granite - so I got quartz.
