Suggestions for Quilts for master bedroom

We are bored with our Isaac Mizrahi big and fluffy comforter and shams. . I had it for some years and i think we need to change it. I want to change the heavy comforter for light-weight quilts... where can i shop for them.? .. i need something soft possibly nautical and relaxing. .. went to home goods but they only have quilts not shams. .. and some have sham and not quilt. .. where should i find nice quilts ?? You could try Bed, Bath & Beyond, they have a decent collection. Kohl's also has nice quilts and there's always the online stores to check out.

We have 2 quilts from Eddie Bauer. I bought one last year that is in greens/deep blues/some dark pink and neutral colors. The other one we have is light pinks/ivory and neutrals and probably 10 years old. Their quilts are the best quality in my opinion. They usually have some new items in the Fall and have shams and coordinating pieces that are lovely and very good quality. I wait for their sales or an online coupon! There home things are very limited right now but they usually have some new items for Fall if you can wait. Another place to check is The Company Store for bedding and lots of coordinates and quilts as well. I have also come across some websites that have beautiful Amish quilts depending on how much you want to spend. Maybe Etsy? What I love about the quilts is how soft they get with use and how ""homey"" a good quilt looks and feels I hope you find some things you love!

Save your $$ and purchase a quilt made by someone here in the US. Those made in China are obviously made in sweat shops, the prices are so cheap. Don't support those companies that exploit their workers, including children.

I saw one I really liked at a Tuesday Morning store. I'm not sure if you have one where you live or what their selection is. I was going to buy it but I have quite a few. I use them mainly just for covering up at night or watching tv etc though I've had one on the bed before in the place of a comforter. I've also seen a lot at Marshalls stores though it's a hit or miss.

I like Linen Source, the catalog and online. You might also check Zulily but you have to check daily as they change their merchandise every day. I found this listed there. It's called Nautical Stripe.

I'm going to an Amish quilt auction over Labor Day. It's a relief effort and also raises $ for the local Amish community. My dream is to have a pieced quilt

That said I live fairly rural and I have seen a couple of local women (non-Amish) who advertise their own pieced/machine stitched quilts available for sale.

Bedding is something that I have a hard time NOT to buy!!! It's a fettish you might say, just check out my 3rd floor storeage room!!!!!

I LOVE quilts. I think I got this from my grandmother who used to make quilts her entire life for anyone who knew her because they were gorgeous, made with love. Anyway, I buy quilts anywhere & everywhere I find a great one and for a great price. You may try Brylane Homes.com, I've found nice quilts on sale at Anderson's General Store, Target, Kohls, Big Lots, Amazon.com. The Q USED to have beautiful quilts with great prices but not so much anymore - so sad, not sure why they don't carry quilts like they used to. I have quilts of all weights too, some light for spring/summer & others heavy & very warm for winter.

I have three bedrms I change out anywhere from 2-4 times a year with the seasons. And yes, I have THAT many that match each bedroom.

And now is a good time to find summer weight ones on sale too.

Ooh Ms Catlover - I LOVE this reversible one with the leopard on one side & the floral on the other - I'd SO buy this set for one of 2 spare rooms. I love it when I find a great reversible for a good price too.

The other one with the blocks is perfect too - many colors to pull out of this one to decorate with.

A mere 2 examples of quilts I'd for sure buy.

Ms. Cat - do you own the floral/leopard one? where did you find it? I'd love to have this one!!!
