Girls, you need to check out Pier One's website and look at the Harvest decor..squirrels, porcupines, owls..darling little critters. Gorgeous wreaths etc. Its really hard when you love the Fall decor! Lots of pumpkins, gourds and lanterns too! Enjoy!!

Thanks for the heads up. Years ago I used to shop at Pier One very frequently. I was living on quite a budget then and I always managed to find great things at a great price. Hadn't been in there in literally years until about 7 mod ago when my DH & I stopped in to look for some bedroom stuff. I will definitely check out the Fall decor.

Hi All: I was actually at my Pier 1 on Tuesday and did quite a bit of damage. I actually went there for the capiz pumpkins but my store doesn't yet have them in. They promised to call me when they arrived so I'm hoping to get them in the next week or so. Susan Louise inspired me to start pulling out my Fall items so I already have several things out (including the HL crows....love them). I haven't pulled out my Jim Shore Fall items yet, but that will be out soon I'm sure. I also picked up the Pier 1 owl...he's awesome and looks great next to my HL crows. I hope everyone who goes to Pier 1 comes back to tell what they got!!

Between my trip to HL and Pier 1 this week, I was amazed at how much Fall (and Christmas) decor is out already. Hobby Lobby has rows of Christmas items already. It was almost sensory overload. The hardest part is that the newer stuff comes in so early and if we wait, we never get it. That happened to me at Pier 1 with some of their Easter decor so i'm not waiting on the pumpkins I want this time.

Just came from there today. I took my two grandchildren (daughters) there ages 11 and 12. It is soon the 12 year old's birthday (she turns 12). She is soooooo interested in makeup you have not idea (I know another thread) but first we had to visit Pier One.

She ended up getting one of those small pillows for $20. You know the ones that look like petals all over them?

I just let her get what she wants. My daughter wanted me to make her use a gift certificate my other daughter sent her, but I didn't do it. I got 3 back scratchers (good to use under the covers to tease my cats(saves my hands).

That's it! My total purchases at Pier One. She loved the store. So many things for a sub-teen to look at.

I've always loved Pier One and feel happy just walking in the door! I've gotten alot of furniture there over the years! Will be going there when I get a little money..lol!

I too have always loved Pier One. Fortunately, when I was still working, there was a shopping mall right up the street from us and it had a Pier One store. I was always in there. I have a solid rattan dresser, a table top desk (which I sit at every day), and a bamboo screen, four side tables (two of which I gave to one of my daughters) and countless other items that I have bought at Pier One, including paintings, pillows, exotic mirrors, vases, artificial (but high end) decorative, aromatic herbs and leaves . . . I could go on and on. When I moved into this small apartment, I had to give some stuff to my daughters because I have no room for them. The items I have in my bedroom are fifteen years old, so it lasts.

I always loved the aroma of the store the minute I walked in, and doubt I ever left it empty handed. My kids would say when I got home, "oh, mom's been at Pier One again."

Of course, I'm done buying things like that, but I bet I would by something if I ever got in there again!

I'm always afraid I'm going to knock a display of glasses over when I go in there.

Pier One is my favorite store. I can always find something in there that is good quality and slightly different than the big box stores. The staff is always helpful and I never have to go searching for someone. They have more merchandise and variety than you would think but it isn't all over the place. There's an order to that and I like the fact that I can go in and get out quickly or wander around and explore.

I recently moved into a new home. While I was able to use most of the things I already had, the new stuff has come primarily from Pier One.

There is a store not 5 minutes from my house, so I've been able to stalk some items for sales prices. My best deals were a deep turquoise knitted throw for 75% off and a mercury glass lamp that went on sale as a floor model and a very large print on canvas that was 1/2 price.

I'm holding myself back from the Fall decor until I get my old stuff out to see what I will keep and what I will donate. It's hard though! Fall decorating is my favorite.

Ford, I hope someone takes you there! Its so fun right now with all the Fall stuff! Yes, we do have lots in common! I love the rattan furniture! I bet your dresser is darling, the side tables and desk etc. I have their faux grandfather clock..I'm a clock fanatic! I would love one of their screens! I have a shabby chic one in my bedroom, and I hide alot of stuff behind it! I live in a 2 bedroom apt. and you're right, there's not much room! I saw a darling faux leather ottoman at HSN I want to get. I could store all kinds of stuff in it! Its like VPH's, but costs less. I want one in cream to use in my bedroom or bath. Soooo many temptations!

I love Fall decor too, the gorgeous oranges, golds, reds etc. I think its a cheerful time! I think its my favorite too!
