COASTAL ESCAPE

Wish I knew where this was! On designer Ohara Davies-Gaetano's site, it is simply titled, "Seaside Sanctuary".

The living room is what first grabbed me. It manages to be both cozy, and fresh and airy, courtesy of that limitless water view...

Love the dining room's faded wood china cabinet, with its blue recesses, and the elegant chandelier. That generous round table, with its chunky pedestal, seems to invite a gathering.

The spacious kitchen has a similar air of tranquillity--

Really like the attention paid to every surface here, even to the paved barrel ceiliing in this alcove--

Moody powder room--

Even the office is soulful.

There wasn't really a clue as to what this room is-- perhaps the sitting room of a bedroom, or maybe a tucked-away den. It has the feeling of a private refuge, where you could take tea. Beautiful doors, mirror, limestone fireplace, and inviting curving furniture.

All the house's architecture is a visual treat.

This is such eye candy. I love love the whites with the light wood tones and a touch of the shabby chic. This looks more like an experience than just a home. I feel it, it's so tranquil and inviting. And on the water, what more could one want.

This is a beautiful home with much appeal in every room. I love the furnishings and the private refuge room as you aptly named it is my favorite, so peaceful and cozy, perfect for a good book or music. I would add some color though to the rooms. Lovely view!!!!

It's lovely @Oznell but the amazing view eclipses any furniture or decor.

I would be happy with a folding chair and table as long as I could be near that water.

The view looks like South Carolina lowcountry salt marshes.

The decor reminds me of French country but more elegant than farmhouse rustic. Old World charm. Monochromatic, restful.

@Oznell Hello - it's in Dana Point, CA - Province Villa built by Oatman Architects. It's stunning and a bit Baroque for me but I could do it because it's seaside. I'd live in a hut if it's seaside😆

On the dining room table there’s a flower arrangement, at least it looks those yellow buds. Does anyone know the name? They are used frequently by interior designers and I just love them.

Looks like Forsythia. They bloom in spring (bushes) and are gone way too soon.

It's lovely..........but my test of a space is how well it holds up to grandkids in wet, sandy swimsuits chasing around a wet dog.

This is just beautiful and so tranquil. I would of course add a little color here and there, but just a gorgeous home with an amazing view!!!
