New Lego Kits

Everytime I go to Sams Club they have a nice selection of Lego Kits for adults. I am so tempted to buy a few. But then I think of all the stuff I have cluttering my house. Do I really need more? There were some beauties at Christmas.

Then I saw this for Spring. Might be fun making them.

I love putting the kits together. I've made flower arrangements and a gray kitty.

Great fun and exercise for my hands and fingers.

Also good for my brain 😻

I have never done one. My grand kids have. Some of those are so expensive but beautiful too. That would be a good winter project for me.

For Christmas of 24 my nine year-old granddaughter and I put together the Christmas tree, very difficult but beautiful. We did it on a week of vacation, in the evening and rainy days. We had to take it partially apart to fly home.🎄

Christmas of 25, my now 10 year old granddaughter and 6 year old did the candle. We struggled with it.🕯️

I always say I want to do both again!

Very cool! When I was growing up in ancient times, there were Legos but no kits meant to build something specific.

I LOVE that hummingbird!! DD and I have many Lego sets--I have a mamma jamma one of R2D2---waiting for me. We have several Xmas theme ones and of course, have many botanica/animal sets too. They are packed away --no place to display them yet!!

They should have a Lego library for these things. Once you build it you either have to display it or put it back in the box. I would never display one, but I would give it away for someone else to do.

DS LOVED these kits when he was a little boy! He would make elaborate buildings that stayed on the floor until he got it just right. Then the tornado would come and knock them down!

I spent a lot of time picking individual pieces up that the kitties had knocked around.

I was glad when the LEGO "tornado" days were over! He knew everyone on The Weather Channel by name, and Jim Cantore was his favorite. We all thought he would go into meteorology, but he grew to be more interested in environmental science in general. He still follows everything weather though.

@drizzellla - That's a good price! Some of these "adult" kits sell for about $100. Plus it looks like fun. If you didn't want to keep your finished product, you can always give it away to someone or take it to a care center for the residents to enjoy.

@beach-mom - That is a good idea. The next time I go to Sam's, I will pick up the hummingbird and put it together. And then donate it to a nursing home.

My Dad was in a nursing home. His brain was still sharp but he had a stoke and physically needed help. I bet he would have liked to work on something like this.

I have only seen them at Sam's so the price was always in the $20 - $40 range. Now I have to check out the "high price" ones.
