I made several of these for friends and family as

Christmas gifts.

The black mantle clock was purchased by my husband in the 70s and started his clock collection. I keep it on top of a desk because my favorite clock is on the fireplace mantle.

The vase next to the clock is from 2003 made by Fenton. The dragonfly lamp is the smallest of three dragonfly lamps in my living room. I tried to photograph it lit up, but there was too much glare.

Oh, boy, @Enufstuff -- what a treat!

Your milk glass hens ( that larger one must be BIG!), the precious satin glass doves nuzzling each other, (satin glass is so inscrutable, and that shade is luscious) your cloches with miniature but intricate trees, that enviable, incredible clock, your dragonfly lamp, ( which still looks great unlit) Fenton vase, and your crystal-- beautiful artifacts that you've collected over time, and informed by your own unique aesthetic sensibility...

Isn't it fantastic the way, with old things, if you get what you like, it all seems to work together so nicely?

Do you know that today, I was looking at a small satin glass pitcher, with clear handle, in an antique shop in the next town. It was calling to me-- I have no satin glass, love it, and it was an amber yellow that I'm susceptible to. I did not get it, however.

Incidentally, I'm always partial to that sawtooth edge on your cut glass bowl. Right now I'm looking at a couple of pieces of my glass on a side table across from me. One is an old pressed glass oval relish dish, but with the same sawtooth, scalloped edge as your pretty bowl. The other is a fluted glass spooner from the 1870's, my favorite piece of clear glass.

I love the way light refracts through old glass.

I'm so glad you went to the trouble of getting these photos of your treasures posted up here-- so much fun to look at, thank you!

That Crystal bowl...my mom had that same one (I swear I recognize the pattern, so familiar to me!)...that sat on her dining room buffet forever. When we sold the home that was something that got donated. Not even the local antique shops near me wanted crystal! At the time, 2017, they wanted mid century modern things or metal lawn art etc...at least that's what one guy told me. But many shops didn't want them. I think I consigned some things, and donated others.

Anyway, the bowl was like punch bowl size, and nothing I'd use or have room for. But I did take and still have smaller crystal bowls and other items of hers, like a small decorative basket, a little vase, a little round thing I keep her wedding set and a ring of mine in, on her perfume tray that sits on a vintage bureau in my bedroom.

Speaking of milk glass, so popular in mom's and grandma's days...mom also had a big milk glass punch bowl set, stored in her garage, with the matching cups you hang on it, in its original box. I imagined it to be like a shower gift she had from way back, she maybe never used, or hadn't for a long time. I also had to donate that.

If I had a big home and entertained I'd love to use these vintage items to serve punch, but I don't.

Your pieces are nice. Love those blue doves. Thanks for sharing!

I love so much of what we sold.

We sold Pilgrim Glass (cranberry), Westmoreland Glass, Fenton Glass, Mt. St. Helen's Glass, Bohemian Art Glass from Czechoslovakia, Mary Gregory Glass, Kosta Boda art pieces, & more. In crystal, we carried items from Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, & more. Some crystal labels included Violetta, Ebeling & Reuss, Gorham, Waterford, Swarovski, & many more.

It appears that your bowl has the "pinwheel" pattern with the star-like cutting. Pinwheel was one of my favorites, & I still have a couple pieces. I also liked a rose pattern and have a rose bowl with that pattern - among other pieces in various patterns Lol.

It seems we share an admiration for beautiful crystal.

Our stores were filled with crystal bowls, compotes, drinkware, carafes, bells, vases, candle holders, boxes, biscuit jars, candelabras, baskets, mantel lusters, decanters, serving pieces, etc. Some pieces were in colors like blue, green, or red. We were importing crystal from Poland before "that wall" came down.

We also carried tabletop & had bridal registry.

Other categories like music boxes, figurines, wall art, European brocades, mirrors, light fixtures, small Italian furniture pieces, seasonal, and on & on filled our stores.

I cherish the years I worked as a Buyer & catalog creator in my family's stores, and I still treasure the beautiful items we carried.

Enjoy your precious decor.
