Mop Recommendations

We had a major spill last night and my super duper does everything but the dishes mop was not effective.

DH asked me didn't I have a regular mop. I don't, so I thought it might be time to get one.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good mop that does the job and will sop up liquids? TIA!

I just use a wet jet, when something spills like that I have some old towels I throw down on the spill then wash the towels.

We use a Swiifer pad with a teryr cloth pad we got on Amazon

I use a Rubbermaid mop with a microfiber string head. There is a mechanism on the handle that twists around the handle in order to wring out liquids from the mop head. The mop head can be removed to wash in the washing machine. I think I bought it for around $15 at Home Depot a few years ago.

Hi @monicakm ! I've had this one a while. I can't remember the brand, but I probably got it at Target. It is adjustable and has a triangle-shaped sponge with a plate that retracts to get the water out. It is fine usually, but doesn't work on major jobs.

@spumoni99 - We resorted to 8 beach towels last night. The water was running faster than we could catch it. They're in the dryer right now. At least the floor is OK now.

@beach-mom have a professor amos mop which absorbs over 20oz of fluid. I take it to our kitchen sink where it allows you to squeeze it dry and go back for more, clean it if necessary before picking up more. Simple to move a handle down which squeezes the fluid out. Have used it all the time for many years now.

I like O-Cedar products. I like their Spin Mop bucket system. Detachable Washable mop heads. I bought an extra mop head just in case something really yucky happens and I need speed,

I like to get multiple uses. I use old towels to soak up messes and put them in a bucket..

I rinse them out and wash them.

two weeks ago I purchsea from QVC a Shark Steam Pocket Mop and I sterilize the floors with it, I love it!

I use a mop with a microfiber head. Absorbs lots of liquid if you have an oops.

I use a microfiber mop with removable/reusable pads. I got it from

MicrofiberWholesale dot com. They have everything including the mop handles, pads and even buckets to fit the mops. Buckets are expensive.
