My hands frequently get cold, but I would never buy heated gloves.

I think they are too clunky and bulky looking. I am not sure if they would even fit in my coat pockets. Not sure about wearing little batteries, either...

I like cashmere lined leather gloves for dress-up, but mittens are best for extreme cold.

However, is your wife (or are your wives) outdoor people who are in the cold for hours?

Someone like that may want heated gloves.

My husband is a skier and he does not own any heated gloves. In fact, he is skiing this weekend up in Vermont. Some skiers say the heated gloves heat only one part of your hand, they will break easily with vigorous use, and the batteries have to be recharged often. The best gloves cost hundreds of dollars, so I would investigate them and read all the reviews!

Yes I have seen the heated hand warmer packets at Sams club/costco. That may be a better option.

Good morning everyone. Yes I meant one of her gifts for my wive. I definitely don't have several wives. Some people do have several wives. I found that funny. I actually just ordered her heated gloves on here .I did read reviews and reviews were very good. My wife is not an outdoor snow person at all. She totally hates everything about snow. There for cleaning off her car and she works at a bus yard so sometimes she goes outside in snow. She always tells me I need good gloves to keep my hands warm. Until now I didn't know heated gloves existed. I bought her hand warmers last year as one of her Christmas gifts and she loves them. So I figured heated gloves would be a great idea. I got a great deal on them. Like at least 33 dollars off them. I spent extra to get rechargable gloves. Rather than the cheaper kind you have to keep putting batteries in them.

I like carhartt gloves...the warmest I've found. I've never found a pretty glove that was warm enough.

I hate the label showing but got over it when the gloves kept my hands warm when snowblowing in below zero temps with high winds.

I have 2 pair, one fleece and one insulated. The fleece is surprisingly warm. I wore them in 20 degree weather and they kept my hands warm. The insulated come out when the temps get colder. 20 degrees is warm during our winters.

Some friends wear them to sit kid's sporting events, but even they admit they are unwieldy. But warm.

The usual verdict is that they are no use for any type of chore.

Worth a try.
