I just use the empty jar inside the thing and keep throwing tarts in the jar so I never have to clean it out. I never turn it off so wax is always melted. When jar gets half full, I dump the wax into an old glass jar n just put the yankee jar back in the candle melter. Start all over. Been doing this for years and years.

I stopped burning candles long ago, but was thinking of getting a wax melter for the little cubes. I'd rather not use a candle warmer.

Does anyone use the cup liners for easy clean up?

I think I had one long ago, but cannot remember how I removed the wax from the cup.

Thanks in advance.

I use Scentsy burners and buy those as well as other refills when I find ones I really like. When the scent dissipates, I put the wax container in the freezer overnight and the melted wax comes right out.

I use wax melts almost daily. Make sure you get a warmer with a removable dish which holds the wax. This way you can pop it on the freezer to make removing the wax easier..Just press the tip of a knife into the edge of the frozen wax melt. Should come out cleanly. You can also remove wax residue with a cotton ball dipped in alcohol.

Hi, @Witchy Woman ! I do use a candle lamp to melt my cubes. We have three, one in each bedroom and one in our living room. I bought the lamps and the disposable cups from Amazon and my first sets of cubes; the cups were 150 per package but I don't remember the price. They came in white and black. Now I get my cubes at my grocery store (Smith's = Kroger) for $1.99 - $2.99 for six cubes. We use a cube each day in the bedroom cups; the warmer in the living room has a regular candle.

Anyway, this is what I've found. The disposable cups can hold 3 cubes worth of wax, so each day, I just put a new cube into the cup. On the fourth day, I pop the cooled wax puck out of the cup and toss the puck, and use the same cup as long as I'm using the same scent of cubes. I change cups when I change fragrances. Cuts down on wasted cups.

The warmer is a good idea since you wouldn't have the bulb replacement costs of the lamps.

Heres a photo of my set up in one bedroom and the cups and cubes I use.

I have a candle lamp and a ceramic Scentsationals wax melt warmer, both from Amazon. I don't use wax melts or the liners. I use the wax from a scented jar candle after it has melted under the candle lamp by scooping out the melted wax with a small Dixie cup and pouring it into the warmer cup. My wax melt cup is ceramic and the wax falls out of the cup when I pop it in the freezer. Handy tip, cooled wax drips don't stick to parchment paper when transferring melted wax from the jar candle to the wax melt cup.
