waterproof Luxury Vinyl

We are installing Duralux Waterproof Luxury Vinyl from Floor and Decor in the bathroom. I really like the look and have never had this before. Looking ahead to the cleaning, I bought a bottle of Bona at the store and have since looked at reviews and a lot of them say it leaves a film on the floor. If you have this flooring, what do you use to clean it ? This is not laminate....it's vinyl. I really don't know the difference.....Thanks!

you should ask the place you purchased it from if they have a certain cleaner. they almost always have some spray bottles that they are selling.

for me, LVP has been very low maintenance and doesnt need a lot of chemicals on it.

We recently bought Mannington Luxury Vinyl flooring for the kitchen and powder room.

I first use my cordless vacuum to pick up crumbs then I use a steam mop (only water) which does a great job in cleaning. The heat of the steam sanitizes and cleans the floors.

Maybe you can check the manufacturer's website to see what they recommend for cleaning.

Interesting. We were told to never use a steam mop on our luxury vinyl which are Core-tec and Mohawk (different levels of our house). The salesperson told us it weakens the adhesive underneath and can lead to shifting. It can also dull the finish. I wish I could use my steam mop.

I use an O-Cedar spray mop with Shaw lvt cleaner.

I have them throughout my home and in bathrooms. My installer and rep where I bought them told me never use cleaners or steamer. You should ask the rep where you bought them how to care for them.

They've been down 5 years and I just use water (with a few drops of vinegar) & microfiber mop.

I'm having the same installed in my den this week.

I had to tell my cleaning people not to use Bona or anything else with chemicals.

You'll love them I know I do!

Thank you for all the suggestions. I bought the Bona at the Floor and Decor store, it's what they recommend. The bottle says to spray, wipe and rinse. That is probably what I will do. I am the only one who uses that bathroom, but I do like a clean smell when I do clean the floors. Good day to all!

I have had these floors for over 20 years. My product was from Great Britain. Mannington now has it under their name. Mine looks like it was laid down yesterday. Use clear water for the most part, Nellies floor cleaner works great, (use 1/2 the amount with water) or another product designed for these floors. NEVER use a steam mop. It desolves the glue if it's glued down and wrecks the finish. I also use a microfiber mop. Enjoy your new floors
