A FEW AMERICANA ROOMS

I don't have any red, white and blue rooms, or strictly Americana rooms, but love the look in other houses. On significant days like today, even more precious.

Old Glory, proudly adorning a cliff top house, the best red, white and blue.

These next two from "it started with paint". Sprightly.

Beautiful! I love Americana designs, and these are wonderful....other than the steps! LOL! Gorgeous and so tasteful, I just love all the rooms.

I did not get it done this year, my back is acting up (g'rrrrr), but I usually do our family room and kitchen in Americana. Our motorhome is "All American", I had pillows done to fit the theme, but don't have them out quite yet-but I did post photos of the exterior look that we have on it. I had throw pillows done for the camper, I may bring them into the family room. There is a fabulous team that does custom work for the campers that come to Red Bay, and I love them. They did our red cornices and trims.

Very pretty.

My parents upstairs bathroom was in an Americana theme and I always loved it. Colonial red white & blue wall paper, Colonial furniture, pedestel sink, and other accents.

My parents living room furniture was in the Colonial style and always loved it. I miss that style.

So pretty @Oznell! We DO have a sort of Americana room, built around DH's granddad's WWI war trumpet. We have sage furniture in the room, but somehow it works. There are a lot of flag pictures on the wall.

I like every room with the exception of the dark red paint on the walls and the toile wallpaper. I would have to change those 2 out.

Now that house high up on the cliff...I'm sure the views are amazing (Is it overlooking the ocean?) but the steps....no way could I tackle that with my bad knees!!

I'm not really a "theme room" person. I wouldn't decorate with flag and patriotic items, but I like the look of red, white, and blue in a more understated way. Number 3 is my favorite.

@FranandZoe My parents' den was in the Colonial style as well. There was a big enameled eagle above the fireplace and above the windows hung pewter plates with revolutionary themes. They also had a metal statue of Abraham Lincoln. I think the Colonial style was big in the 1970s.

All are so interesting.

Aack to the 5-pillow sofa situation in the third photo.. Screams overdramatic decorator. One of my pet peevees.

I love the simplicity of the red geraniums in the blue and white chinoiserie pots.

I kinda love that blue and whilte toile wallpaper in that home. But then I have a hard time turning down chinoiserie, toile, or blue and white.

Every Memorial Day I decorate in all of my Americana theme, inside and out. I keep it up until Labor Day. Love my yellow cottage with it's red,white and blue splendor!

OK...I'll admit it, when I read your thread title, I was expecting the cheesy Americana themed rooms from 25-30 years ago but these are much more sophisticated. They're not my style but, for the most part, are very well done.

@SactoSue , blue and white Canton ware is great for an Americana look. All you need to do is add bright red flowers, and pow, red, white and blue!

For Memorial Day lunch, I already had a chinoiserie ginger jar, small pitcher and Delft ware on the table, and red and white flowers and my dark red placemats chimed right in.
