Best spot cleaner for carpet?

Our little dog peed right in the middle of our family room carpeting. I soaked it up and sprayed it with Resolve. I can still see it. The carpet is a dark grey short pile. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Many, many years ago I discovered "Spot Shot". I had beige carpet which was relatively new at the time, and my puppy had a major case of diarrhea. What an incredible mess!

A friend, who was a carpet installer, told me to use Spot Shot. It took every stain out. Now, here I am, 5 dogs later and still using it.

I have had the best luck with Folex. My Sister recommended it (she had 5 cats) and I found it on amazon.

It works on blood stains and all kinds of pet stains.

I use diluted vinegar, half with water, spray it thoroughly and let it sit for 10 minutes before blotting.

Years ago, a man that cleaned our carpet recommended a product called "Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover". This product has cleaned multiple stains on our carpet beautifully. It's the only thing we have found that works! Good luck!!

I ALWAYS worry about the color in the carpet lifting when using a stain remover.

Be careful...some removers will "set" the stain!

I had a stain in the motorhome where I dropped tomato sauce on my light beige carpeting, GP66 got it out, (QVC) took me 2 or 3 times but it worked and the 'stain ghost' never returned.

Years ago I purchased a product called Whip It Stain Remover (I think from HSN). We were so impressed with it that when we saw it on clearance at one of the big box home improvement stores we bought 6 bottles. It is the only thing we use on stains.

I would try Dawn Powerwash. It's an amazing spot cleaner.

A professional carpet cleaner once told me to use Listerine...for both the stain and to kill the smell.

It works!

Used it for years with pets.

Spot Shot the the only remover that will eliminate completely a stubborn stain on carpeting. I learned years ago to keep a can of this, nothing else works but Spot Shot.

Our "carpet" guy at the time had his own franchise for "Chem Clean"

He said he used to use Listerine for pet stains but it got too expensive. So he was sharing his best secret for me!

It worked every time and we had very light carpet!

Never stained the carpet.

I would pour Listerine on the spot and let it soak down to the concrete foundation...

Then I'd dab it with a towel!

@LTT1 Wow, and that was the original Listerine? I'll definitely remember that. I have a couple so small non pet stains on my rug. Might be from a Twizzler, LOL. I'm going to try it.
