ENGLISH VICARAGE AS THE SEASONS TURN

OKA is one furniture store, based in England, whose rooms I love to look at. Here, they took a real life house (not a set), and furnished it in the OKA style. It's an old vicarage in a small village.

They said they wanted it to have the "mood" of late summer, merging into fall. I love the colors, the pottery, and the deep-seated comfort. What do you think of the modern OKA credenza used here? I love it in this old house!

There's also a blue sitting room in the vicarage--

In this vignette, pretty carved wood leaf, and a scalloped tray to corral games and trinkets...

Love the informality of the dining area, and the chunky, weathered oak double pedestal table.

Nice little shot of enlivening goldenrod yellow in a bedroom, here....

... and here. Eccentric English fringe which no one will like but me:

Am particularly fond of the striking tables they make. The simplicity of a cozy mudroom, warmed by a fire...

This is an attractive home, very peaceful vibe for me. I do buy an English magazine once in a while and appreciate seeing a different style.

@Oznell It's just a teeeeeensy bit cluttered for me, here & there, but I love the style & colors. That credenza is gorgeous, would love something like that under my TV (if budget allowed, sigh). Might be a bit of a pain to dust the front of it, though!

The rooms are nice enough but just not my style. I do really like the credenza in the living room but it looks like they changed it out in the two LR photos. One has squares and the other diamonds but I do like them both.

I love the decor! The only thing I would change is the chair with the fringe. . . 12 cats + fringe will not work for long! LOL! Most of the decor will not work in my home, the beautiful vase arrangements would only make it a few days. BUT I love that hassock, and would love to get my hands on those 6 beautiful prints.

I love the mixture of the eclectic styles, reminds me of a very carefully selection of wonderful pieces gathered with great care.

I love all of the wood pieces!

In the living room...I love the welcoming laid-back cozy feel. The sofa I especially love the dimensions of this item.

The wall colors are great...and lend a cottage feel.

The pattern of fabric on the stool like there, but not for the rug.

Florals, I know, are not in style now, but would lend so much.

Oh, I loved the OKA store.

I have bought numerous items from them and they were wonderful. Sadly, they closed all their US stores one day and I haven't yet found any pieces available in the US, only in the UK.

I had been planning on buying another lamp, two more dining chairs, and another velvet ottoman.

Too late, sadly.

Beautiful space! This home has a very realistic, comfy feel to it! I love the floral paintings wall! I'm also struck by the lovely, varied textures used. The neutral furnishings and splashes of color really work for me too!

Warm and appealing! I love the floral art work, the credenza, the fringe on the chair and the dining room set is lovely! The touches of decor all add beauty to the home, very nice!
