Copper netting

My air conditioner was not working,i was holding my breath hoping it has not died, mice had wintered in the unit, so got it fixed,they said to put copper netting around the unit before winter.

Mice will get anywhere. I watch a lot of heavy equipment YouTube videos where they try to revive old equipment, and the stuff always has mouse nests hidden in places you wouldn't expect them. Mice are very resourceful.

When we were in the military and I was pregnant with hyperemesis gravidarum, we had moved into government quarters (and knew nobody) and my husband had to immediately go on maneuvers. We had an older quarters with a fuse box. We smelled the worst odor in our house that triggered my nausea/vomiting. Turned out a mouse had gotten into the fuse box and was electrocuted. it died in there and that odor is one I will never forget and I think if I smelled it today, I would regurgitate.

Yeah, it's not a pleasant smell. Mice tend to die in inconvenient places and you have to live with that smell until they dry up. It typically takes a few days to a week, but it's not fun.

Yes, all on top of a pregnancy complicated from day #1 with nausea/vomiting, two young children to care for and a husband who had to leave as soon as we moved all those many miles away.
