First person to shout "Pepto Bismol" pink won't be THAT far off....

Love the shade-- looks close to Benjamin Moore's "Bermuda Breeze" to me.

The picture's at least 10 years old, and I'm sure she's changed the room by now! That's interior designer Windsor Smith for you. She's a quirky, successful California designer who is quite eclectic, and has so many tricks up her sleeve...

When she does do a 'traditional' look, like she did in this old sitting room of hers, I like the boldness and the arty-ness of it. And the easy, conversational way that the chairs are drawn up so you could have a good chat, or share in some iced coffee...

Not your cookie-cutter traditional. And I'm not even fond of yellow, or yellow with pink, but her use of rich saffron yellows in this room is deft and magical, in my opinion.

Things that appealed to me:

the way the multi-paned windows play into the 'storybook' feeling of the room, the sumptuous velvets, the painted, Moroccan-type coffee table, the blue and white fabric on the camelback sofa, the pillows, the white wainscoting and pillars against the Pepto pink, the chandelier....

To me, it could be a timeless room in a Tudor revival house. It's certainly English-influenced-- in the "world- traveller" feeling, and the dashing use of color.

This is a crummy image, but you get to see also the pretty blue rug she must have put down at some point. The view into the next room ( a large, eat-in kitchen?) is tantalizing...

I LOVE❤ these BEAUTIFUL rooms!!💖 Each has elements that speak to me! I would feel perfectly at home in each, but the first photo, although not traditional, and the walls are striking, is one I would feel comfortable entertaining guests in.😊 I know it is not for everyone.😁

There's not a thing here (except for the windows) that I would keep. I actually find the saffron and the pink together to be somewhat nauseating.

My pedi shop has been this color for as long as it's been open. The owner loves pink.

I like the layout of the sitting room, but it's a little too busy for me. The best feature is the multi-paned window.

Except for one bedroom, all the rooms in my last 3 houses going back to 1981, have been a pale peachy pink but not nearly as pink as these pictures. I find it to be warm and very neutral.

A pale, peachy pink can be lovely, but that pink in the photos looks like a McDonald's strawberry milkshake exploded everywhere.

Or that Barbie went through with a paint sprayer!

I think this particular shade of pink is distracting, whether you like the color or not.

The color is too dark for me; but then I looked at the room and it's quite lovely. I also love the velvet, all of the chairs, the couch and the chandelier. The windows are perfect. I would change out the coffee table and rug.

I also wish we could have peeked a bit further into the kitchen. It looks intriguing.

I'm in the minority here but I love it.

I'd call that "Elegant Pepto Bismol" and "Powerfully Feminine," It makes me think of that series Bridgerton. It is so refreshing and original and it just works in my opinion.

I love when people go bold and do what they love and that's what this room looks like....a real treat for the eyes.

I wouldn't normally go for that bright or bold of a pink but I think it's the perfect shade of pink in this case because it really makes the white painted trim and woodwork pop....a lighter, more tame shade wouldn't do it justice....a real beauty!

So, I am a lover of pink. I had pink walls in my bathroom up til last fall. Kind of a retro theme. Uh, I got tired of it real fast. Now my bathroom is white. Not easy to paint over either let me tell you. If that pink were a softer pink color I'd be more inclined.

I am in the minority here, but I actually love it. For some reason, it seems very warm and charming. I dislike bland, neutral colors and this had some life to it and was different.

@Oznell Normally I only like pink in a girls bedroom. The living room is done well as far as the other colors used with the pink. Actually, to my surprise, I think it is quite pretty although I would have gone a couple of shades lighter on the pink.

@Oznell I have a small sitting room right off the master bedroom that I painted a deep pink like the pictures you are showing. I even painted the floor to ceiling bookcase with this color.

My friends teased me that it was my Pepto Bismol space. But, oddly enough, I found that I could not rest in this space or read. I repainted it a neutral color after about a year.

I think this intense color would fair much better in a larger room. It is very pretty but too intense for me.

Usually I'm open to a lot of things but I really don't care for the pink walls. I don't mind the pink accessories, but I don't like the walls.
