What do you think about having a stream running through the primary rooms in your house? While the concept is charming, I see a plethora of potential problems. Excess humidity and splash would be primary, while the one in the bedroom would be an obvious hazard. I doubt you could hear conversation or TV over the noise that waterfall would create.

I doubt these are real living situations but are probably AI created. What do you think?

The water in the first picture almost does look AI generated. Sure looks like a lot of water traveling fast!

it's beautiful, but not practical.

My Aunt had a house double insulted to save $ on her heat and AC bills. About a year later mold started to form on her walls.

She had to have someone come out and create more airflow and a way to get the moisture out.

I can't imagine how much humidity would be in a house with a stream. It's tough enough to keep a bathroom moisture free after a shower.

I know there are houses like this. I have seen them before...never in person. In LasVegas many hotels have water features in them...but of course, the air there is really dry.

very pretty to stay at for a weekend, but not in my own home.....I bet listening to that water is very soothing though.

If you can afford to have a house like this it's probably not an issue to hire someone to monitor it on an ongoing basis. Surely not kid friendly though.

Surely not kid friendly but absolutely Lab and Golden friendly. Finding the dog would never be a problem.

A lovely idea...but in reality...impractical for most of us. Just screams "high maintenance" and another thing to take care of, with too much potential for problems. Water is pretty to look at, nice to listen to like in a waterfall, but leads to so many issues to keep clean, properly sanitized, upkept. So yea, it's a no for me. At this point in life, I'm looking to simplify not add something complicated to maintain.

I will say, that bedroom scene is pretty.

Our summer place is not far from Mill Run. I have never seen this house. Now that I know, I might go and take a look.

@ECBG. I visited a house built over a rushing river about the size of the one at Falling Water but steeper with more rocks, in Colorado. The water was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. It really got on your nerves after a short while.

It wasn't soothing; it was annoying.
