We're in the woods with a 2 story cedar and a wrap around porch.

Years later, I fell in love with modern country farm houses. In white with black.

@ECBG I too love the modern farm house look. I also love the craftsman style. I, however, would opt for a ranch 1 story home vs a 2 story.

I love wrap around porches!

My favorite house was Mark Sloan's house in Diagnosis Murder-over the ocean!

This one isn't it but on the same beach drive in Malibu. (and I wouldn't want it in Malibu but over the Atlantic somewhere

Have you seen the orgional Craftsman style? it was the style that came after Victorian with the use of dark oak, lots of right angles, Mission (arts and crafts) furniture.

Dream home? White traditional house on Greece by the sea; rock house on French coast area.

Dream house in real life? Vaguely French style, modern 2-story house like ours! I love it. Last two houses are this style.

Ranch style hands down for me. We live in a multi level house so all you hear is .....whoever goes upstairs or downstairs please bring....

A simple ranch with a first floor laundry room. The exterior has some kind of stone or brick. No shutters, as bees like to build behind them! A covered front porch is a must, and a four season room needs to be at the rear. It should overlook water.

I love Victorian homes. I would love to have one on about 100 acres, sorrounded by lakes and gardens.

I enjoy many home styles/types. I enjoy a house that fits it's environment so for me personally, it depends on the area/location...I hope that makes sense.

We live in our dream home--a large, three-story 1897 Victorian stone home with a tower, and a wrap-around porch. We also have a porch on the second and third floors, and tons of carved woodwork and parquet floors.

My home reminds me of a castle all the time!
