Maura Endres is another "artist of the home", (as well as an established fine artist), who creates constantly evolving cozy vignettes.

This glimpse of her family room shows a little of her table setting too. Fall or spring, there's always a sense of warmth. Love her stacked vintage prints over the mantel, her book-laden trunk/coffee table, large ornate mirror, console table and the unexpected delicacy of her flanking ball room chairs there...

Her artistry comes out in her fun arrangements, like this combo of twigs, driftwood, shells and acorns. The exquisite little side dish of acorns kills me! And of course, books all around.

She seems to love to play around, with all kinds of things at hand...

I'm not on Instagram, but love getting glimpses of what she does, here and there.

@Oznell - Thank you for posting! I agree with you "almost" 100%!

I love the warm neutral colors she has used. In fact I think it's one of the prettiest choice of colors I've ever seen. I like how she chose the golden sisal (not sure if that's what it is, but it looks like that to me) area rug, and I'm glad she didn't use the usual Oriental rug. I think that color looks great with the hardwood floor.

The tile dining table is different, but it would be too much for me. And here's where I would like to see a little color. I also would change the mirror to one a little less ornate on the top.

I always enjoy seeing how people decorate, the vignettes, wall art, eye catchers in different rooms that enhance the area. The books are always decorative but in the third photo, I feel a little too much. However, I do like her use of shells, pine cones and the touch of acorns!!! I also use shells and pine cones for decor. , the pine cones in the fall and shells in the warmer months. Combining them is also appealing. Very nice touches that make you smile and feel good in these pictures!!!!

I have three garden seats like that one and a WWII trunck that was on a ship that got shot up, and I'm fine with those.

I have an old trunk just like the one in the picture, it was my Grandfathers. I love it and have it in my family room. I keep my blankets and throws in it.

Discerning point about the colors, @beach-mom -- you are right, they harmonize and contribute so much to the overall warmth.

Oh, boy, @Sooner and @happilyretiredgirl , I'd love to have an old trunk like yours-- "shot up", or not shot up, they lend such atmosphere! And as you say, @happilyretiredgirl , they make for picturesque storage, as well.

I absolutely love this room. To me it is warm and cozy. It's given me the idea to put one of my blue and white pattern plates on a small table like is done here. I never would have thought of that.

The LR/DR looks fairly cozy but I'd add a touch more color throughout.

While I don't feel the overall look of these rooms appear cluttered, I do think she overdoes it with the items on that beautiful antique chest used as a coffee table and that side table against the back wall. I noticed it a lot more on the separate pictures you posted. While I love the bowl of shells and driftwood, it gets lost with all the other "stuff" surrounding it and the same for the picture below it.

@Babyfran , it's so funny that you say that. As soon as I saw what she did, I wanted to do it too, to showcase an old plate or two of mine!! You are so right, it's a cool idea.

My problem is, I don't have any small, circular side tables. I have one circular end table, but it's bigger, and has to have a lamp on it. Hmm, I will have to figure something out...

Love getting ideas this way.....

I love the flow of this space.

The colors are soft and inviting. Warmth and comfort are always appealing to me. You can enjoy the fireplace from the sofa and while dining.....love this!
