Seeking Info on Electrolux Ergorapido Vacuum

Considering purchase but want more info on its brushroller haircutting system. Tired of cutting my tightly wrapped hair off my current vac. Electrolux's customer service was beyond incompetent.

Also comparing Kenmore Stratus which is similar, but not as common.

Long human hair tightly wrapped is different from compressed pet hair on beater bars. Will the Ergorapido cut both equally well?

Mention of this in Amazon reviews say yes and no.

@PickyPicky3. Have you seen the new Shark QVC has been selling that's made so hair won't wrap around the roller?

I bought two of those years and years ago when QVC sold them. They lasted for years and I loved them. Eventually they both gave out, but when I looked for replacements I couldn't find this particular style at the time.

So I opted for a Shark, like @Kachina624 mentioned, with the double roller system and like it much better. They do a much better job of cleaning and I have no problem with hair winding around the roller.

I also don't have to do anything to cut the hair like I did with the Electrolux, which required you to step on a lever for several seconds to actually cut the hair that wound around the roller. With the Shark, the hair doesn't ever get wound around the rollers to begin with.

Don't know anything about Electrolux vacuums.

I have a Dyson. No problem with hair since there's no brush bar to wrap around?

I also bought the Shark but didn't like having the motor at the top of handle and also felt it didn't clean as well as brush rollers. I sold it.

Perhaps a vac with removable brush rollers would be a compromise -- easier to cut.

I called British Ewbank to ask if the rollers on their Chili were removable. No. The rep suggested I try pushing plastic wrap down on the brushes and see if that would make cleaning easier. I rejected that idea.

Yes, it did. And I have very long hair.

However, you did have to keep up with the cutting process. If you let too much hair build up, it didn't work well and would leave some behind which would have to be cut by hand. And the cutting process did use up more of the battery power, so I always kept mine on the charger when I wasn't using them so they would be fully charged when needed.

As I say, I was happy with mine, but that was years ago. I can't say if the current models work as well.

Soled the hair problem with my new Dyson purchase. Cordless and powerful. Replaced my Shark.
